The food was tasty, but not refined enough for a Michelin star. There were sometimes differences in the plates at the table. A second bottle of water is opened at the table without being asked. You order a coffee and receive unsolicited sweets along with the bill of 15 euros per bag, even though you have already eaten 2 desserts. The drinks (coke, water and coffee) were more expensive than the food.

A lunch menu of 9 courses. Top quality and presentation. The whole thing was very tasteful. We got duck, pike, lamb, trout with barley, orzo, etc. A downside is the standard price for tap water of 6 euros per person.

Welcomed by friendly staff as we walked in the entry. Very pleased with our room. The views out onto the canal and church steeple were beautiful. The jetted tub, also offering a view of the church steeple, was appreciated after walking the old harbor and city streets. The breakfast was delicious, locally sourced and artfully presented. I recommend this hotel for a romantic and comfortable stay.

Great hotel in near perfect location. Lovely staff.

Arrived to find dedicated hotel parking in a compact area of town which was nice. Room was a real "WOW" (See photos).

Huge hot tub looked great but water pressure was very low so would have taken hours to fill. Used shower instead.

Room was basic - not a typical international hotel thank goodness! - and the bed was lovely & comfortable.

The only negative thing we would say is that we ate at the nearby restaurant (Which was out of this world.) but when the food bill arrived, they had also added the room charge. This meant that the bill was way over 350 Euros. So you pay 21% service charge on the first 117.50 Euros, and an extra 6% on bills over 350 Euros. We didn't notice this at the time (Blame the wine!) so when you throw in the cash tip we left, the combined service/tip was quite substantial.

Breakfast was amazingly bonkers! 5 Star cold Continental breakfast. 1st course was a slice of tomato with a drip of basil oil followed by smoked goose breast. Then some lovely bread rolls, local butter, the nicest strawberry jam we had ever tasted, smoked salmon terrine, smoked pork pate, pork terrine. This was followed with grapefruit moose, huge black cherries, etc. On and on it went.

No orange juice - just fresh pear juice - and nothing hot so no chance of a cheeky boiled egg!

Glad we tried it but far too rich for us in the morning.

Lovely hotel with fully remodeled rooms, they have remodeled the entire hotel and dining room to modern, open, clean appointments. Lovely breakfast room and terrace overlooking the canal, the morning sun shines down as you wake up in this quiet little town. Staff very friendly and accommodating, this hotel will not disappoint.
