Friendly reception. Nice clean room with comfortable beds, a great shower, coffee making facility, outside seating, and comfy chairs inside. The 3-course dinner, included in our arrangement and served by lovely knowledgeable staff, was absolutely beautiful. The breakfast buffet was fine, though we have enjoyed more extensive ones. All in all a lovely experience.
Wildthout is a modest hotel in a beautiful touristic town. The rooms are clean and a little outdated. The hotel staff is very friendly and cooperative. The bar and especially the restaurant are of high quality. We had a surprise meal and accompanying wines. The different courses were beautiful and very tasty. The highlight was the main course: we did not yet expect to have roe in August; it was very tender en lightly cooked with its own gravy. If you appreciate a great dinner, Wildthout can be recommended.
We spent a great 4 days at Wildthout with owners Niek and Petra van Duuren. Wildthout/Ommen is surrounded by nature and is great to walk or bike with well-kept bicycle paths. This time we not only stayed there but had dinner too. Few places serve a better meal with accompanying wine, then Wildthout. Their new rooms in the back are very quiet and pleasant and in the morning, a healthy breakfast awaits you... so a no brainer. The young owners organize all sorts of events one being a whisky tasting for which he had an expert fly in. Regrettably we left earlier.
Stayed here for 1 night during a recent business trip in the area. Had stayed here before but that was a very long time ago. Friendly reception; good service and spacious rooms. All amenities are present. WIFI is included and of good quality. Ommen is a nice place but as I stayed in February there was not a lot to walk to (as it was freezing cold). Sleep quality is good. In the morning a buffet breakfast is served in the restaurant. Lot's of options and great quality. Compliments! All together a solid hotel if you are in the area for business or pleasure!
The hotel is located on the outskirts of Ommen, near the Pieterpad and other hiking trails. The rooms in the old villa are a bit dated: the bathrooms are small, the lighting in the rooms is poor. The common areas of the hotel, such as lounge and dining room, are fully designed to meet the current expectations of guests. Dining at the hotel is recommended Cars can be parked in front of the door. The staff is friendly and professional.
.Nice hotel the rooms are not big, but sufficient for us . Bathroom is clean and big. The hotel is situated nearby the city of Ommen. This little town is worth seeing. We liked very much the restaurant of the hotel. Diner is really high class!
This hotel is run by a lovely family and give thier 100%efforts into giving every single person a warm and friendly welcome, and are there to help with every need you could ask for wether directions or just a friendly chat they run a tight ship and also give thier personal touch to customers that is needed.
We were there for lunch. Burger and Cesars Salad. Cesars Salad with some kind of artificial sausage! Not chicken. Horrible. The burger was "artificial" - too much chemicals or artificial flavours. They don't know what they are doing! Absolutely not recommendable. Conroy McDonald's in steady. And the cook really lied to us when we complained. Claimed it was chicken. So please don't go there.
We stayed here for a night for a wedding nearby. We really appreciated this modern hotel which has been built in a very beautiful old villa surrounded by a lovely forest. The room was very spacious, clean and with modern furniture. Sleep quality was very high since the bed was so comfortable , and the only noise we heard were the birds singing in the morning. So relaxing! Breakfast buffet had not a great selection of food but it was OK. Staff was really friendly. Wildthout hotel is definitely to suggest to all the people who want to spend a quiet weekend in the green Dutch countryside.
If you want to relax for a few days, but still want to be surrounded with style, good food and very attentive service: go here. Nature is just a second away. It is not expensive, it is not snobbish either, it is very good value for your money, but foremost, it is one of the most friendliest hotels I have ever visited. Where do they greet you with a firm hand? Excellent biking tours and a landscape like Monets Summer.
