The small historic town of Hulst is a good choice for those who wish to visit Gent or Antwerpen without actually staying (sleeping) in Flanders. Hulst itself has a nice church and some restaurants. I had to be in town early during a weekday for my work. Hotel Hulst offered a clean room at moderate fares. I was given a...

I thought this was a nice and comfy hotel. The stairs were extremely sharp and especially when you have 2 suitcases, it can be a little challenging. However, the staff were really nice and friendly and the room was clean and spacious. I even had a balcony on the 1st floor. Breakfast was typical continental.

The room is simple, but with a good bed, nice linens and good shower. the service was outstanding. The young woman at the front desk was genuinely welcoming, proud of her town and interested in helping us enjoy it. When we asked for directions to a store to buy a phone charger, she opened a cupboard and pulled out a...

Staying there for 2 nights (visiting horse stables) I must say that the stairs are quite an adventure, dangerously steep. The room was ok, not more. Lot's of noise between the rooms as well as from the stairway. Breakfast - as others mentioned - could be somehow richer. Paid € 74.50 per night including breakfast, which is too much compared...

Clean hotel at a good price. Very friendly and helpful staff. Tip: Ask for a room "in the other building" since the stairs are a lot easier to manage than those in the main building and there is also less noise from other guests. Breakfast could potentially offer a little more variety.

Nice clean rooms in a simple hotel - the hotel seems to have moved down the street into another premises, so the photograph is out of date. The stairs are very steep, but we discovered a lift. Handy location for travelling and a great place to stop. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

We stayed here with my mother-in-law for 2 nights, and we were made very welcome. There were some problems with access for the elderly lady, but these were solved in a very professional way. Breakfast was well presented and left no wishes open. The hotel offers very good value for money, you have to take into account the age and...

Clean and pleasant. Rooms are comfortable. Reasonable price for bed & breakfast ( single 65 euros) Very close to the heart of Hulst. 40 minutes to Brugge, 35 minutes to Ghent and 30 minutes to Antwerp (Park & Ride), Nature Reserve close by just over the border in Belgium all by car. Plenty of Bars, Bistros and Restaurants (Some 40...

We stayed here for two nights and cannot fault the service, cleanliness and value. The rooms décor was very simple and old fashioned by some standards but we were very happy with the facilities including hair dryer and very good wi fi in the bedroom (Room 14). Reception and breakfast were located a few doors down the street in a sister...

Wonderful little hotel a mere 200 meters from the charming town centre. The owners helped by their son made us feel right at home. We inquired about bringing a dog and they have one room that can be used for that conveniently located on the ground floor with ample outside space for the dog to lay down and rest and...
