Katwijk, historicly known as a rustic fishermanvillage, has not yet lost its authentic sphere, despite its location in the heart of the Randstad. Directly in front of the hotel lies a clean and broad beach and just around the corner, there is a cosy shopping-centre with many boutiques. In the near surroundings of Katwijk you will find a widespread sand dunes and nature area, that is perfect for people who love to walk, and for the bicycle lovers there are many routes available. For a fun day out with the kids you can visit attraction park Duinrell in Wassenaar or the space museum Space Expo in Noordwijk.

We’ve been here a few times and it’s always great to stay at the Noordzee. The hotel is “aged” and needs refurbishing but overall you can’t beat the location. Seconds from the beach and center of town. Too bad their restaurant was closed but COVID raised hell everywhere. Plenty of restaurants nearby.

This was our second stay in this hotel and like it very much. Very friendly staff and comfortable rooms. The location of the hotel is tops. Close to the beach and in the middle of the town. Parking is great and so are the restaurants.

Super everything was in perfect order. Breakfast good, nice place, right across from the beach. After the serenity and tranquility. Bicycle rental, beautiful town of Leiden, which is a 15-minute drive away.

Only my second visit to Holland. Amsterdam holds nothing to this part of Holland. The hotel was marvellous.....staff were so polite and helpful. The room clean and holding a lovely view at 2 in the morning!! The reception staff allowed us to print or boarding cards as well......Breakfast, well I like bread but this was something else...again staff so helpful and polite at breakfast........and with a genuine smile. A lovely if too brief time. i'm going back to see my new found Dutch friends and a real taste of Holland.

6 of us stayed in 2 rooms for 2 nights. 3 children and 3 adults. I cannot fault the hotel at all, reception staff really nice. We ate in the pizza restaurant, amazing food especially the onion soup!! Breakfast was lovely especially the coffee... My only negative with the hotel is the noise level on the street below, and especially the open air bar about 100 meters from hotel. They have no soundproof on the windows, can hear everything even with the windows being closed. We were there when there was a festival on the beach and that didn't finish until 12am the booming music could be heard, then all the people walked past our window heading home. Didn't sleep properly for the 2 nights we stayed there.

1 minute from beach. Room was small with tiny balcony but clean and comfortable and not expensive. We were lucky to get it given its popularity. Very good breakfast. Secure place for our bikes. We arrived on market day . Bustling and large and great. we were cycling back up the coast to the ferry port and it was a welcome stop. Beautiful coast line. Great for cyclists. Weather was fantastic. Beach has lovely cafes and restaurants without being tacky.

Excellent location, the bus from Leiden stops right outside the hotel. Restaurant serves the best pizzas in town. The sea view that was promised was delivered and the staff were all super polite, friendly and ever so helpful. Breakfast buffet was plentiful and well presented

I'd booked a room facing the sea, and with the weather being great, it was quite a view!, The checkin process couldn't have been easier, and the reception staff were very pleasant. I think due to its location it is more orientated towards people on vacation, as I could not check-out until 07:30, which for me was the only negative

Booked a room last minute on way back to the ferry following a week’s bike touring. Staff very friendly and welcoming - the fact that we arrived by bike was no problem. Bikes could be stored securely in underground car park and the hotel looked after panniers and tent the following day after we’d checked out of our room so we could spend time exploring the town Ate in the bistro/pizzeria at the hotel where food was very good and well priced. Breakfast was included and was varied and plentiful. Great view across the sea from the breakfast room on first floor which doubles as their main restaurant in the evening

Hotel staff pleasant and evening meal was good but hotel really does need a refurb. Rooms small and dated but good TV and access to U.K. Channels. Bar area pleasant and bedrooms generally quiet at night
