This unassuming, small mews-fronted pub was a lot larger inside with an open fire and welcoming staff. The rooms were located by a front door next to the pub. My en-suite room was clean and above the front of the pub.The continental breakfast was croissants with butter and preserves and cornflakes - all of which were left in the room...

Ideally located, tucked away off the main road between Hove and central Brighton. A few well-appointed rooms above a great local's pub, very friendly welcome. Continental breakfast for two served in room (already there on arrival, which allows for the morning at one's own pace). Definitely recommended!

We only stayed here for one night and arrived quite late after work so didn't get to sample the pub but the room was lovely, very clean and tidy. I absolutely loved the shower, it was very powerful and felt like I was getting a massage. A continental breakfast is included and that was in the room when we arrived...

This lovely little hotel in Brighton is a real gem. It's situated in a quiet side road, and the couple who run the pub and accommodation are so welcoming. The room we stayed in was clean and bright, and had a small fridge with milk, juice and water in it, as well as cereals and croissants for our breakfast. The...

What a delightful place to stay. Warm welcome, lovely clean room with a beautiful fresh linen fragrance. The pub is a locals delight ; Paul the barman was absolutely wonderful, sharp smart & witty. I can see why this rates so highly on TripAdvisor ; we would return without a hesitation. Thank You all.... Colin & Sandra x

Stayed here two nights. Room ready on arrival, attention to detail far exceeded expectation for a small old fashioned pub. Cannot fault. Rooms are small but does not detract from the comfort. Modern decor to Immaculate en suite room, wouldn't look to stay anywhere else in Brighton. Downstairs small pub, atmosphere great, so friendly. Thanks for a perfect stay.

We stayed here on the 19th of Nov and I have never felt so welcome in a hotel in my life! The warm welcome as soon as we stepped in, to the cute dogs giving us a love, to the absolutely adorable bedroom just made it for us. We travelled so far down the country and it was just perfect....

The lady owner was superb. Made us welcome and even helped with the parking charge! Traditional pub downstairs was friendly. An excellent place to stay to see the concert at the The Old Market. The room was quiet and with a very comfortable bed, continental breakfast was included too.

We arrived at the Bow Street Runner at midday and our room was ready. the room was small but very very comfy and bed was large, attention to detail was brilliant. Room was very clean and surprisingly quiet to say it was above the bar. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the regulars in the pub made us...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
A small traditional pub in a side street of Hove just off of the main thoroughfare that links Brighton and Hove, the pub has no food, no Sky TV, no loud music and no gaming machines, just a pub, BLISS! Originally called the Station Inn the earliest record as a pub was 1867 and was originally the Brunswick Police and Fire Station hence the name. There is a stark difference between the old pub and the modern guest rooms. I took the pub over in 2010 and converted the living accommodation to 3 en-suite rooms. I am helped by a great team, our manager Warren, Gervase, Maggie, Kevin and Simon in the bar and Wendy with the rooms. They all make our guests welcome as do our pub customers and Beau (our dog). Unfortunately, due to the age and nature of the property, access for some people may be difficult. If you have any special needs please give us a call to find out if we are able to accommodate you. ... more   less
