I was on my way to Inverness and the day seemed to be slipping away. As I needed a room for the night I found The Cairn Hotel by searching the laterooms app on my phone. The Cairn Hotel was about 1/2 hour away from Inverness and it seemed very suitable. I arrived and parked in the rear car park... More

We visited the Cairn Hotel in November 2016 Great friendly craik in a smashing, busy wee pub. Great selection of real ales and a brilliant pint of Guinness too. We were in on a Friday night and Saturday afternoon and evening. It was bust with plenty of buzz and people of all ages coming and going. I wish my village... More

Traveling from Aberdeen back down to the UK, I decided to go via the Cairngorms for a spot of sightseeing and photography. I checked into Cairn for the night and bagged myself a spacious, clean, and cosy double en-suite (Spey) at a more-than reasonable price. The staff were extremely helpful, and the owner knew the Highlands like the back of... More

We really enjoyed our stay here. The staff were all extremely welcoming and friendly. Our double room was plenty big enough, spotlessly clean and comfortable with en suite bathroom and tea and coffee making facilities. We ate in the restaurant adjacent to the bar which was really busy but the 'locals' made us feel very welcome. Breakfast was very good... More

My husband and I stayed here for one night and wish we'd booked for longer. The hotel is cosy, quaint and exactly what we were looking for in Speyside. We had dinner and drinks in the bar, which has a great small town atmosphere. The veggie haggis burger and green curry with prawns were both a generous size, there was... More

Was only in the area for two days and was wanting a cheap, clean hotel with easy access to the surrounding area. The Cairn Hotel met all these criteria and also had very comfortable and well appointed rooms as well. Wasn't anything over the top, but for the price I was paying, I didn't expect it to be, and was... More

Warm and friendly Inn with a lovely open fire in the Bar, which is also popular with the locals so a great atmosphere. Stayed two nights. Ensuite room a wee bit dated but clean, comfortable and spacious and staff were excellent. We arrived on a Sunday so had the 3 course set meal for £15.00, real home cooked fresh food.... More

We stopped in the area for lunch on our way from Inverness to Edinburgh. From the street you could see the smoke rising from the chimney so we knew it was going to be lovely and cozy! We had a lovely seat by the fire, a cuppa, and a delicious lunch. You have to try the smoked haddock macaroni!!! Highly... More

I stayed here for two nights and had a pleasant stay. The room we stayed in was front facing and had all required amenities, en-suite, bunk beds and double bed. The welcome was nice, helpful and set the tone for our stay. Breakfast was pleasant and dinner in the evening was lovely. The Landmark park is a 5 minute walk... More

I booked a single room and was given a very nice double room. The bed is quite comfortable and the cooked breakfast is awesome. The guy who I am not sure if he is the owner or staff is very hospitality. Received a warm welcome and the stay is very enjoyable.
