This is a little out of the way fishing village. A real treasure. The seashore and castle are stunning, the air fresh and the Inn welcoming. It's a beautiful place to visit for a delicious meal, good company, and a stunning vista.

We visit fairly frequently, hoping I guess for improvements, as we love the location and the premises are friendly and welcoming, but staff can be a bit off-hand, you are there rather as necessity than an opportunity so they can be over occupied with their own tasks rather than you. Current owners had indicated they wished to showcase the best...

Went for Sunday lunch. Lovely pub in the harbour, a hidden gem in a hidden gem, and only ten minutes from Ayr. Nicely decorated with a public bar, lounge bar and restaurant. Friendly attentive staff. The menu is great, very wide selection with plenty of fresh fish and seafood, also plenty of non fish options. Had the langoustine starter, brilliant...

Having come to Dunure as a child I returned there with my family on a recent trip back to Ayr. We noticed the seafood platter on the menu so booked to come back in the evening with family. My husbands first comment was "They certainly know how to keep their beer" so the evening was off to a good start!...

On arrival at this lovely restaurant we were welcomed by a very nice young waitress who show us to our seat. As we were waiting for our family to arrive the waitress offered us a drink and menu to look at while waiting. The place has a lovely homely feeling and the food was second to none. The service was...

We try and visit Ayr once a year and always travel to The Dunure Inn at least twice whilst we are there for some fabulous seafood. The Inn is set in a wonderful location in the small Dunure Habour. Don't get there too early as we did or your lunch might still be on the boat making it's way in....

We visited this place because of the reviews it had had. What a let down for us. Food was bland and service not of a required standard. We were fed up with the locals coming through for drink to take outside and using foul language. A lovely little village only spoiled by the local lager louts sitting around the harbour...

We had previously called in for lunch some years ago. On that basis we made it our overnight stop on the way south avoiding the M74. Excellent room overlooking the harbour. Dinner was taken outside in the warm June sunshine, excellent food and service, even though the restaurant was busy. Breakfast was just as good as the evening meal and...
