The access road is narrow one way so maybe go around the back of palengke. Check-in was friendly and fast. The atmosphere is romantic and quaint. A cute resort style. With 3 very mall swimming pools. The beach is quiet, clean, nice and private but with a steep slope down and warning signs mark the entry way that it could be dangerous to swim. And I can see why. Not really for kids unless you born at the beach and know it's quirks. Breakfast was 4-5 pre set choices but very OK for me. For me just some fruit pcs and bread, honey with butter will do the trick. With a juice and coffee. We went to Kahuna beach for some sea swimming and surfing lessons. Which is like 10 minutes by car or 50P per person in tric which strikes me as steep. The beach is much more shallow for safer swimming. But also quite busy acting as the public beach. But if you like peace and quiet and enjoy the beach itself this place is really an option. Rooms were older quaint style but roomy. Shower was nice but please change the shower head in room 8. It is spraying everywhere. The bed mattress was good but I didn't like the bedding being only a cheap blanket. No sheets.
Staff was excellent and friendly. Oh and the restaurant is also recommended. We ate 2 out of 3 nights just at the resort and very good for Filipino choices.

I enjoyed my 2 night here. The staff were all helpful and friendly. The breakfasts was quite nice. The restaurant served a nice seafood dish which I ate myself! It's right on beach but I couldn't swim because the water looked to rough for me. Wifi worked well and rooms were decent enough. A place to come for really good surfing and a relaxed vibe in San Juan.

We came on a peak period but were accommodated warmly just the same.
Their rooms were at best, mediocre and a bit cramped especially by the entrance.
We never got to try any of their food.
Their beachfront was okay enough too.
We got ourselves a room with a pool so the kids really had a blast.
The price was reasonable but I honestly feel that things could be better.

Good things about this hotel:
- Fairly easy to locate
- Affordable place - family room for 6pax is 4k/night with very very basic facilities (thin mattresses, small restroom)
- Breakfast food is good
- Beach is expansive, sand is gray and fine, water is clean.
- You can bring food and liquor in the resort and even borrow some cutlery or dinnerware for serving.

Bad things about this hotel:
- It's a long walk (along the beach) from the surf spot. It took us 30 minutes to get to the place where there surfers are. Suggest you just bring your car to Sebay or Kahuna and park there to access the beach for surfing.
- There's no lifeguard in the area.
- Service is slow especially for breakfast. There's no wait staff in the dining area fronting the beach.
- BEWARE OF AGODA. Agoda charged us a much more expensive rate for our stay. Refer to the picture I attached for the actual room rates.
- The resort overbooks via Agoda and they do not issue Official Receipts.
- Pools are small.

Next time I go to La Union, I will not stay in Isla Bonita anymore.

This place was great but I will not go back again. Let me explain why later. First, let me commend the staff. They were very nice and helpful form the phone reservation until the end of our stay. They even called a tricyle for us when we left.
We stayed at the big house for 6 people. The room was great and the view was awesome. It is spacious enough for maybe 10 people to move in. There is no airconditioner in the sala though so it can get quite hot but manageable. The room was clean and sanitized before we checked in.
Towels, blankets, shampoos and soaps are provided so that was good. But the handle for the shower head in the bathroom is broken so it's inconvenient but not a big problem.
I already expected that the beach has strong waves but still it was good fun for people who are brave enough (unfortunately I'm not). there is a sign that warns people about the sea and there is no lifeguard so be careful.
Now let me get to the reason why I'm not going back there. I know they are running a business but I felt like they are asking too much money for everything else. I mean, you have to pay for everything. let me enumerate some things which I think are overpriced. To rent a stove, you have to pay 500 pesos for one day but who cooks for one day? Imagine, we will only cook noodles for a couple of minutes and they will charge you 500 ( they kinda took pity on us and charged 250- but still expensive). I think it would be better if they charge per hour. Oh, and we have to rent a pot for 100 pesos for cooking. My tip- don't cook..just grill or order from the restaurant. 1 gallon of water is 100 pesos- highway robbery. I don't know how much it is there but in my place 1 gallon is 30 pesos. Their beer is reasonable- 50 pesos each. their softdrinks(1.5L) is 80 pesos each so a little over the budget but I think still within the OK range.
In conclusion, if you visit this place. Bring everything you need and don't cook.

Thanks for your review we do take notice. The sala is provided with an electric fan and normally guests will have the huge double doors wide open to allow the sea breeze in from the terrace which is at the 2nd floor. The handle for the shower head in the bathroom has been fixed must have been missed by our domestic staff. We aim for everything to be 100% clean and functioning.. "you have to pay for everything" All our amenities are free except for consumables like gasul or charcoal. The Gas stove and Gasul is charged at P500 for 24 hours but staff will reduce the cost for shorter times. Service water is available free for guests we only charge if a (5) gallon container is requested. Most of our guests that come to cook most of their meals bring all there cooking utensils and equipment with them even the kitchen sink. LOL (we provide those free) We do hope you will come again and we will ensure your concerns are fully addressed, thanks for the plus comments also.

Reasonable price for 6 people. The place is nice and clean, but the room they gave is not the room we reserved. It's too small for 6 people. The owner seems friendly, but got dissapointed when he reminds us about the check out time and he said they are more expecting guest that's why. I find that rude.

We went here last February. The place was very beautiful, relaxing., peaceful. we enjoyed our stay here in this resort.Staffs were friendly maliban sa isang waitress, according to her co workers, Ericka ang name. Nagorder kami ng food sa kanya while waiting for our check in time, tinatawag namin siya at hihingi sana kami ng water, hindi man lang sya pumapansin. Dinadaanan lang niya kami in short suplada at hindi man lang ngumiti. Ang tagal lumabas ng order namin, pinafollow up ko sa waitress (Ericka), and she said hindi available yung order.instead na magsorry at magpasensya siya, hindi eh. We didn't hear any apology from her. She almost ruined our day. Almost perfect.

Went there for a day at the beach as they offer special rates for short stays.
I can only report positive things from friendly staff to a clean and maintained resort. The cottages are spacious and inviting.
The restaurant serves delicious food.
The best asset is the clean beach (except sea weed at times) which was empty as far as we could see.
Unfortunately is has to be said that the water is rather deep right from the start so the beach is not really suitable for smaller children / non swimmers.
All in all a place worth to stay.

We booked the Big House for one night (27-28May) for our group with 13 adults and 2 kids. The Big House was decent and really "big", with around 4 double beds and we were provided extra mattresses. Just difficult to share one bathroom among us, though. Had a nice living room space, dining room space, fridge. The electric kettle should be requested from Reception.

There is a small pool on the ground floor just beside the bar/restaurant. It was just a little alarming when one of my relatives pointed out to us not to go to one area (near the small fountain-like structure) because she felt something pointed from the pool floor, like it was a screw or something.

Videoke and a billiard table were available for use (free of charge). The staff were kind enough to heat our "takeaway" food since the serving wasn't too much.

Beach was peaceful, breeze was great. It was just a bit of a letdown for me not to be able to go in the water (I was 18 weeks pregnant that time and the waves are too strong for me) so I had to settle with just being on the shore. It wasn't really ideal for swimming, I was hoping we will see surfers the morning after.

Still had a nice time in this accommodation. Price of the room was affordable.

Patric the owner and his staff are very friendly, always ready to help and accomodate all our needs that we requested. Clean beach and pool. We enjoyed singing in their karaoke and we did not get bored since we played billiards and darts specially during at lunch time that we could no longer swim because it was very hot. We saw them replaced the water in the pool. The room that was given to us have 2 beds with dining area and nice cr. Great for people who wanted to have intimate time with their families or friends.
