Lagarta was the best place we stayed during our three weeks in Costa Rica and Nicaragua. Regina and co are on hand to help book day trips, to answer questions and to help make your stay enjoyable. We stayed one night at the standard room and one in the superior. The standard room was nice and quiet and we had...

What a spectacular view. Perfect to watch the sunset. Nice finger food, cocktails/drinks and appetisers sold at the sunset bar but it's all about the view here. Go at sunset or during the day for lunch to lap up this scenery.

We stayed at Lagarta Lodge for four nights in June 2012. First of all, because it was the "wet" season (although we had very little rain), we had the place almost to ourselves. It's a great place to stay and I have zero complaints. The location is amazing: perched on a hill overlooking the ocean and the Biological Reserve. You...

We did not stay here but went for breakfast and dinner. Breakfast was wonderful. It reminded me of breakfasts in Germany with the bread and butter, meats and cheeses and the fresh fruit. They also served eggs, bacon, rice and beans and pancakes to order. Everything was yummy. All that for $8. Very reasonable The owners were very friendly. They...

We spent 3 nights here and loved the Lodge. The owners are hands-on and lovely; the breakfast buffet and cooked-to-order choices were amazing; the room was lovely but the weather was so hot we couldn't get it cool (make sure you book a/c room); the sunset bar was great and the views from the Lodge are wonderful. Stay here if...

I was a little disappointed when I arrived to Lagarta Lodge at first because we were not directly on the beach. However, once I entered the gate and saw the breathtaking scenery, I can see why this is a five star hotel. We had room number 8 which was absolutely beautiful. It had a private terrace overlooking the preserve with...

The Logarta Lodge is set on a bluff overlooking the beaches of Nosara. The views from the rooms are spectacular and the use of glass, individual patios with the rooms and public terraces take full advantage of the vast costal scene laid before your eyes. Even if you don't stay at the lodge, their Sunset Bar is a wonderful place...

We were searching for a place to stay on our driving trip up the Pacific Coast of Costa Rica when we saw the sign for Hotel Lagarta Lodge. As we drove up this long winding dirt road we started to have doubts about what we'd find and if we'd even stay there. What a surprise when we discovered this little...

Friends had stayed at La Lagarta and suggested that we had to go there for a sunset drink and dinner during our stay in Nosara. They were right! Drinks at the sunset bar with its incredible view is an experience that is not to be missed. A lovely dinner served by the owners followed. The road makes getting there difficult...
