The hotel is in a great location, just a short stroll down the street to the north end of the beach. The room we stayed in was on the small side, but had everything we needed. The rooms and grounds are very well kept. The staff is friendly and helpful. The restaurant and bar are worth checking out, particularly for...

This is for people who get costa rica! Rooms with and without a/c. New restaurant is very good. Exceptional pool and bar. Now again rooms are a little rustic but that is the real costa rica if you want silk sheets vacation somewhere else your to uptight. That is the real secret of Costa Rica/ Pura Vida...RELAX, don't sweat the...

I have stayed in plenty of hotels all around the world, different styles and sizes. This hotel was great. The level of cleanliness of the hotel was the same as any 5 star hotel. The food at the restaurant was amazing. My favorite was the Curry Snapper, Ceviche, Tuna Tartare, and the Mahi Steak. The location in Nosara was right...

We checked into the Gilded Iguana after the house we had been renting in Nosara was robbed. Despite the difficult circumstances that we were going through, the people there made us feel welcome and facilitated things we needed to do such as calling our credit card companies and the embassy. The rooms were large and impeccably clean. It's a small...

This is a great budget hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpful, the food good and the bar interesting. A short walk to Giones beach, surfboard rentals right down the street, I left my car parked the whole time I was there and walked to everything.

The Gilded Iguana is simple but was perfect for us. One of the closest options to the beach, and on a quiet street. We will definitely recommend to friends. Loved the open air feel - waking up to birds & monkeys every morning. We saw several places that looked more modern, but we would definitely come back here because of...

We were not staying here however ate dinner and breakfast here over the course of our stay in Nosara. We visited this place towards the end of our stay in Costa Rica and by that stage I had my fill of rice, beans and plantains so I went for the hamburger and fries which really hit the spot. For breakfast...

We did not stay here but ate dinner and lunch at the restaurant. The prices were good. Pay with your debit card and you will get a better exchange rate than you do if you pay in dollars. Food was fresh. Desserts were delightful. And they had choices for picky kids. Don't be in a hurry - they are on...

I spend 4 days in this hotel, 1 room for 2 near to the restaurant, and it was a nice experience. It's like 5 min away from a gas station and a bank, near to Guiones beach and 5 km away of Playa Pelada. The room was average, no AC but fans were alright, refrigerator, friendly environment, clean facilities. If...

I booked this small old hotel for a few days before a retreat at a more posh resort and I'm so glad I did! My room, number 2, was behind the restaurant, and since I ate all my meals here, it was perfect. Not lavish, no air conditioning, but the fans were just right. Low key, kicked back staff made...
