Located just accross the road from the beach ( approx 5 mins walk) close to Carrefour supermarket, so get a few breadrolls & drinks on way to the beach, very handy! and nicely away from the busy shopping area but only a short 10 min walk to the centre square and its market place, so a great location for everything... What can I say about this hotel? It is in a total time warp -the reception area is a sixties/seventies nightmare-the hotel is an homage to the hippy history of this resort and frankly nothing seemed to have changed since the last hippies left the caves on the rock face at the beach. Sleeping in my room was like sleeping... More

Need I say more? The pool area is great with a smashing beach bar that opens between 1pm and 8pm. The hotel staff are so welcoming and friendly and for me this compensates for the slightly dated condition of the hotel. It is what it is - a well run hotel that probably could do with money spending on it... More

There's not much to choose from in Matala. This was a bare bones hotel. Great location immediately next to the beach. On the weekends, it was noisy at night. The pool is nice. The staff was great. The hotel is very clean. The beds were spartan (no pun) and the bathrooms in the room were tiny and old. The sheets... More

Just arrived home tonight after spending 2 lovely weeks at the Hotel Zafiria. This is our second visit to the hotel, the first time being June 2014. Ok, it is not the Ritz and does not pretend to be, so anyone looking for a four star or better hotel will be disappointed. The rooms do not have television, mini bars... More

Beautiful hotel in the heart of Matala. Highly recommended for the days of festival, since it's located near the beach. Nice pool and pool bar, friendly staff and normal accomodation and facilities. Prices are always fair as well as the breakfast. A beautiful cafe is located on the ground floor, with tables situated on the side of its famous street.... More

Perfect location, good breakfast, WiFi only at the lobby. Room with sea view and huge terrace. Quiet. The room is a little worn, but very clean. Pretty fair deal for the $40 price. Would stay again here.

The rate was low. 35 eu. And the location was great. On the third floor we had no hot water. First floor did. Ac didn't t work and the door had to be closed due to Mosquitos. The free breakfast was decent. Great staff. We were able to park next to the bar area. If we come back we will... More
