Family run hotel clean comfortable room with a big sunny terrace and continental breakfast to start the day off. I would say the only problem being the hotel is a good 25 min walk to a nice beach and good restaurants in a pretty village.

Stayed here for 5 days last week. A return visit. Lovely place. Rooms spotless with nice linen. Just outside Matala so s car would be advised. Lovely quiet pool area and a decent buffet breakfast. Would recommend.

This is a simple, family-run hotel. No frills, but clean, comfortable and friendly. Seems to attract couples with an interest in history, beaches and exploring southern Crete. Breakfasts are good (excellent home-made honey, marmalade and yoghurt!!!), evening meals are basic but adequate (certainly not 'disgusting' as one reviewer claims!). About 15 minutes walk from the beach for a slow walker... More

As we walked into the lobby we were hit by a horrible sewer smell. Luckily, our room didn't smell but the smell did find it's way to the pool area where we found it impossible to enjoy the pool because of it. When we got to our room we noticed hundreds of small dead bugs in the corners and under... More

The hotel lies 800 metres away from the main Matala beach (caves), 1200 metres from Komo Beach and 1300 metres from magnificent Kokkino Ammos (Red Beach) - its a good point for an active holiday. If you are lazy it's not for you. On the other hand, the hotel is small and quiet - perfect silence at night! Rooms have... More
