We stayed there to attend a party. The party venue was great but the rooms were terrible. Damp smell and dirty carpets. The bathroom was just about clean. The only saving grace was the bed was very comfortable. I would never stay there again or recommend to anyone

We' ve been called 3 times before we arrived...cause we were the only clients and the owners didn't want to wait. He was friendly when we arrived, he gave us the key and went away. We have been alone in the hotel all the evening and the night long, we didn't see anyone in the morning, cause we were leaving...

The hotel room was dirty, smelled of mold and mildew, had the shampoo bottle from the last person in the tub, wall paper peeling off the walls, the mattress was well used and every time I turned I could hear and feel the springs. Even at the low rate I paid, it was not worth it.

It doesn't worth the £40 we paid for. Tv the smallest i ever seen. The wall paper was off the wall. Smell dump. In the middle of nowhere. Noisy because the motorway is next to the lodge. The good thing is the car park

Good access, has its own sliproad off the A1. Great parking, good drinking & smoking area in the courtyard. Room clean, broadband a little hit or miss. If you like your hotels a little bit quirky then this is for you.

Not sure i wanted to use the jacuzzi bath or shower. these are separate rooms on one ground floor around a courtyard in a really old 15th century house- an existing coach and horse tavern. Brand new bed, clean with TV and writing desk.
