Very old and dated, bed was comfy, some areas of the hotel are very cold. Breakfast was so-so. Stayed for two nights while doing training in Blyth. Wouldn't be somewhere I'd bring my wife! But, as a place to stay for two nights. It was okay. Needs a substantial amount of money spent on it mind

Well booked this off booking.com for an overnight stay for a night out in Tynemouth, booked without looking at reviews which was silly. When I read the reviews I though oh god what have we done!! We arrived at around 4pm on a saturday afternoon, hotel seemed empty, it felt like a ghost town. Reception seemed welcoming & was lovely... More

We actually survived the night! However not sure we'll make Christmas, I can already feel the spores attacking my lungs! Basically the question is what's right with this place?! Nothing!!! 1. Freezing cold 2. Mould everywhere 3. Damp damp and more damp 4. Shower head held together with cable ties AND guess what, it didn't work 5. Chicken in red... More

The photos make it look great, but it's obviously seen better days, our main complaint was that the owners/ managers don't have an eye for detail, curtains of the rails, lots of light bulbs missing, mirrors were filthy as were the windows. The most annoying thing was that our bathroom was new but the shower clip was broken so it... More

This hotel was once up on a pedestal with the nearby Grand Hotel. The Grand has retained it's top spot but The Park has slipped well down the league. Yes the hotel still has great views out to sea and along the coast but the once great Square Rigger bar is now called Parkers and totally lacks in atmosphere. When... More

After reading reviews on here about the hotel we nearly cancelled our trip but decided against it, so glad we did. Our room was clean, comfy beds, clean bedding/towels and a lovely sea view. Evening meal was veg soup or melon followed by a help yourself carvery with either Turkey, gammon or beef or all three and cauliflower cheese to... More

The room is clean but freezing. We had to wear layers of clothing to get to sleep... the radiator works but isn't big enough for the room. Tea was of good quality and breakfast was nice. Full English or cereal only so might not suit everyone.

Nice peop!e, nice food, but tired decor, strongly lacking in atmosphere and diners Family birthday for around twenty people, including three little children. Private room was beautifully set up, with access to the Sunday lunch carvery. Lovely roast dinner meats, followed by tasty desserts. Generous portions of good quality Sunday lunch fare, at reasonable prices, so where was everyone? The... More

The hotel has seen better days, the outside looks very rundown. However the rooms were clean and large. The carvery food was very dry and over cooked. The staff were not professionally turned out, There were a lot of refreshments in the room (tea & coffee)
