We had a really enjoyable time. Welcomed and lovely food and wines. Entertaining work on the vineyard! Good trips out to Kati kati and view points? Entertaining friends came to visit, including pilot who flies vintage WW1 and WW2 aircraft and had recently been working with Peter Jackson.

We ended a month's travelling round the South and North islands at Matahui Lodge - the perfect finale to a wonderful trip. Trevor and Kay were exceptionally hospitable and welcoming without being overbearing. Our room had it's own private patio area with table and chairs and a hot tub was prepared for us in the evenings. We had the most wonderful stay at Matahui Lodge. We wanted somewhere really special to slip away to and get married. After initially contacting Kay and Trevor, they just picked up the ball and ran with it for us. All we had to do was turn up, they arranged everything else. It could not have been more perfect. Beautiful views of the lovely grounds and sparkling bay from your room, balcony, or the much utilized patio will restore your senses. Relax with free flowing, complimentary wine and enjoy gourmet dinners accompanied by relaxed conversation and good spirited camaraderie. Kay and Trevor, the...

We arrived at 5pm in time for drinks with the neighbours. What a wonderful introduction to the outstanding hospitality we enjoyed throughout our stay. Superb meals, a stylish and comfortable room, wonderful views from the deck, strolls through Trevor & Kay's boutique vineyard and tastings of their own wine. We will return.

We had a lovely stay at Matahui, Trevor and Kay are fabulous hosts. Their property is absolutely beautiful, everything has been thought of in every respect. We loved it so much that on the way back up from the South to Coromandel we stopped and stayed again at the lodge. Perfect! We absolutely loved it!
