2 night stay in October and could have stayed longer, in a quiet area on the outskirts of Whangamata. The room was lovely, ours was up steep steps but I think easier access ones were available. The bed and quality linen were so comfortable you just floated to sleep with views over the town and bay to wake up to....

We had a very warm welcome from Sallie, David and dog Jackson. A lovely garden full of birdsong. A peaceful location not far from the sea and the town. Wonderful breakfasts, comfortable beds snd first G&T on the house.

Beautiful cottages in an amazing garden setting with views of the Pacific. Breakfast on the verandah was a treat. Sallie and David have thought of everything and nothing is too much trouble. I would recommend Brenton Lodge to anyone.

Whangamata is a quiet seaside town with some shops and restaurants. Brenton Lodge is set just on the outskirts with fantastic views of the bay. The warm welcome from Sallie and Dave and the peace and quiet was just what we needed after the hustle and bustle of Auckland. Rooms are clean, spacious and very comfortable. Breakfast full English, or...

The Lodge is just outside the modern town of Whangamata. It is sett in very pleasant relaxing gardens. Sallie gave us a very warm welcome - just like meeting up with an old friend!. Our room was very comfortable and spacious. There was an adjoining bedroom where we could store our luggage. Breakfast was a joy as we sat outside...

We stayed here for two nights and loved it! Our room was beautifully furnished in cool, calming colours, was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Sallie had thought of everything and had even left beach bags, beach towels, insect repellant and sun cream for guests use. Chocolates on arrival were an added bonus! David's mushroom breakfast was amazing, if a little...

Thank you so much for taking the time to review Brenton Lodge, we thank you also for your kind words, I hope that your holiday in New Zealand was all that you wished it to be, and your right a few extra calories for breakfast, compensated for by a walk on the beach - its what holidays are all about.

Excellent room , excellent view, good hospitality, quite simply the best place we stayed at throughout our NZ trip. Just on the outskirts of Whangamata on the Coromandel peninsula. Lovely town with good mix of shops and restaurants with a strong family feel. We ate out, ate in, enjoyed drinks on our balcony. One of the very few places we'd...

We only stayed one night, but we're pleased with the welcome and the room. Sallie made us very welcome. We had driven some way and didn't feel like going to a restaurant so Sallie suggested that we could get something in Whangamata so we brought back fish and chips. It was a stormy night so quite noisy with rain -...

A great 2 night stay. Hosts could not be more accommodating Huge room with lots of detailed extras right down to fly spray for the evening and pool towels.Everything clean and appears brand new. We were blessed with great weather so the breakfast was even more enjoyable. The Coromandel loop worth the drive. Good advice from Sallie. One little niggle,...

We stayed 2 nights here and loved the place. Sallie and David made us feel right at home and the chalet type apartment was very comfortable.
