Arrive late in the day. Very friendly the room was excellent clean and well appointed. Motel is close to the shops and eating places. Highly recommended to anyone. We had a studio unit but sister had a family unit double and 2 singles.

Good clean & comfortable motel - reasonable range of crockery & cutlery - TV modern but only a few channels - no "Prime or Choice" channels - No free internet - road noise minimal when considering that it is on a main highway - didn't trouble me.

I would stay here again. The room was attractive, airy and clean. The bed was very comfortable. Location was good. Although the room was placed up near the road it was okay with regard to noise, however when a heavy transport vehicle passed by, the whole room shuddered. This was not a problem because the traffic dropped off early in the... More

I found this motel to be extremely noisy being right on highway 4 in Te Kuiti. The unit I stayed in (unit 1) vibrated everytime a truck went past with the room and fittings shaking and rattling. About the same as a richter 3 earthquake. I was still awake at 2.30am wondering when the traffic would stop. I think I... More

We stayed at the motel Te Kuiti the night before we rode the Timber Trail. The location is very convenient and the manager(owner maybe) John is a good guy. We had a one-bedroom unit. It was clean and tidy and not worn like so many places. It did however smell very strongly of air freshener when we arrived, nothing that... More

Enjoyed staying at this motel, but the thin walls don't help when you have visitors. Still, for a quiet stay, its great (unless you're the one with the noisy visitors). Sometimes you just have one of those nights where you're a little louder than usual and having more fun than you usually have - don't do it at this motel... More

Friendly & helpful owners Central to amenities (not major supermarket, there is a smaller one located in town) Walking distance to town, the gym, diner and bottle store next door. My studio unit did not have air conditioning but I was able to get a fan from the owners Although the road traffic noise was noticeable during the day it... More

We were heading from Auckland to Wanganui and this was good halfway point to stop at before the long weekend. Owner was way helpful and friendly. Old CRT tv but it had a good picture and sound. Room was tidy and clean. A few trains went by, I'm usually a light sleeper but was no drama. Would stay again if... More

We stayed here for our last night of a seven week road trip before flying out of Auckland. Very friendly hosts. The room and surrounds were immaculate. We had a studio (#7) with a queen and single bed and a kitchenette with a microwave, toaster, fridge, and kettle. Spacious bathroom. Easy walk to town shops and cafes. Traffic noise was... More

Well presented motel in very attractive surrounds, units are excellent, well appointed, fresh and clean. Lots of nice little extra's. Owners are to be congratulated on keeping an immaculate motel with lovely gardens. Didn't find road noise a problem. Slept really well. A great place to break your trip North or South (North for us)
