We LOVED staying here partially because all of the other people we met here here were so interesting! The kitchen was spotless, and we loved getting to know the other travelers over our meals. There's also a common room with comfy couches and a pool table. The owners are friendly and helpful. The rooms are small and dated, but they...

This Lodge was in good location! 10-15 minute walk to closest restaurant. The room was fine, bathroom was small and slightly tight but fine for 1 night. Walls were quite thin so you could hear people talking in the next room and outside. But after 9:30 it was quiet.

Very clean and tidy, helpful hosts, nice position with lots of lovely walks by the river. Nice large guests communal kitchen which was very well equipped and a good size sitting room. Only slight downside the bedroom and bathroom were a little small, but for one night it was ok.

We stayed for two nights at this lodge either side of completing the Tongariro crossing. The room and kitchen was spotless and Betty was really welcoming, friendly and helpful. She recommended we visit the Thermal Pool after our hike which really finished our day off on a high.

We took the private lodge for a night, it was the perfect way to relax after a long day's driving! The price was reasonable and they have a beautiful dog. The owner was very helpful with directions and recommendations.

Nice and tidy rooms. Shared kitchen was spotless and had own cupboards and dishes for every room. The owner was really friendly and made us feel most welcomed. She also shared some valuable hints about surroundings. We would definitely book again.

Stayed here as taking the tongariro crossing again. This lodge is excellent and the best I've stayed in across NZ. Arrival was fantastic and friendly. The rooms are clean and comfortable and guest facility are everything you need for a lodge. We could even leave our luggage securely as we tackled the 6 hour tongariro crossing . Everything this lodge...
