Just arrived home from the RD. This is my 3rd trip to Mexico, first time to this side. The trip from the airport was nice and short, the staff were great, didn't have bad service once. The place is very large and the grounds are beautiful. The room we had in block 3 was the worst I have ever stayed...

I will start with the bad part and get that over with. If you can, avoid Air Transat as transportation to this resort at all costs. On our outbound flight, Air Transat managed to 'lose' my wife's suitcase, even though it was the second of 6 bags that were checked in as part of our group. The service at the...

Another great stay at the Decameron, the staff is why we go back. Kudos to Angel, Alejandra, Abel, Ruben, Elisa, Aztuela and anyone else I may have missed. Property still beautifully maintained, food ok. 3rd floor in Block 6 is the place to be , nice rooms, away from most noise if you're a light sleeper. You can't go wrong...

We had a fantastic time at RDC. In fact, we enjoyed it more that our previous trip to Mexico in the Mayan Riveira where we stayed at a beautiful and luxurious 5 star resort. The Mayan resort cost us more that double and was elegant, but kind of boring. RDC is not boring. there are loads of activities. I enjoyed...

Just returned from Royal Decameron (this was my first time to an all-inclusive). As it was my first trip, I can say that it was a good experience. The grounds, the food, and the service was excellent. The variety of food at the buffets was great - each day was a different theme. My friends and I went (age 24)...

The rooms were average The weather was great,as was the beach. The grounds were very well maintained, and everything was green and lush. The food was average 50% of the time we had salad as there was nothing appealing to eat. The place is very open which made it noisy late at night when the drunk people were staggering back...

Absolutely the best hotel I've been to so far in any of the islands I've visited. The staff is amazing and always helpful. The food is great, there was nothing that I did not like. They keep the grounds impecable and grass nicely manicured.

We enjoyed our first and second visit to the RDC so much that we returned for a 3rd visit March 21st-28th. The beach, staff, vendors, weather and locals continue to be wonderful, however, the large numbers of rude & loud French Canadians made me wish they were not from my country. The daily game of "beach chair grab" but not...

My husband, 7 year old son and I stayed at the Royal DeCameron from March 21- 28, 2008. What we loved the best about our stay: -the excellent service and hard working staff -seeing dolphins from the beach on several days -being able to walk for miles along the beach -the immaculate and lush grounds and great variety of vegetation...

Part 1 of 2 (part 2 above?) I read all the recent reviews, and thought "this place must be amazing!" When I got there and spent some time, I realized this resort is exactly what the ratings reflect - 3 stars. Then my wife's upbeat comments made me realize - "it's a woman thing" to give positive reviews. Men are...
