My daughter, granddaughter and best friend stayed together at Mar y Arena. The casita was beautiful, with a huge bathroom, plenty of hot water. Two of us shared the big, comfy king-sized bed, and one slept on a twin. The baby (two years old) slept on the couch that we turned to the wall to make a fine crib. We...

Staying here has been such a pleasure. Mar y Arena is right on the shore of the lagoon, slightly set apart from the town itself. It's a relaxed / casual place in a beautiful spot. We stayed in one of the four beach-front cabanas – a spacious room with a good double bed and a single bed plus a surprisingly...

We stayed one night in a room with a palapa. The birds had been inside making a mess on everything. The room smelled so strong of either cleaning solution or pesticide - not sure which. Very unpleasant experience. Went whale watching which was okay but it was an hour ride through the fog going and coming and only about 45...

We stay 2 nights here, it is not enough... Later on our trip in Baja California Sur, we asking us: going back to San Carlos? Simple friendly place, in some way out of our time, nothing to do with Todos Santos or The Cabos. Whales watching here are more wild than in Adolfo Lopez Mateos, the see is raw and...

If you love a private cabana on the beach with a view of Mag Bay then this is your place. This was our second time staying here and again we were not disappointed. Our last visit was off season in June but this visit we wanted to go whale watching. After checking in and having drinks and a little snack...

it was a cute hotel right on the water and has a restaurant on site, that was very good. the owner and staff are very friendly and helpful. There are 4 main hotel buildings and then one back behind the restaurant. The one behind the restaurant is not as nice looking as the others, (on the outside at least). The...

We stayed here for three nights in mid-Jan. It is a good place but manage those expectations. The photos make it look new and luxurious. The truth is that it is that they are good people but are struggling to balance and maintain the amenities. Mainly, hot water will run out in the morning and the wifi is pretty bad....

Villas Mar y Arena Puerto San Carlos– Delfin room, June 4. This is a very unique resort that Adolfo “Fito” has developed on the beach in Puerto San Carlos. Terrific water views. Rooms have a double and single bed with the typical hard mattress. Unique, pleasing and spacious room design, with a large bathroom. The buildings all have beautifully constructed...

Mar Y Arena is a small, attractive complex on the road just before Puerto San Carlos and, as such quiet, and peaceful. The complex has a dozen rooms in attractive bungalow and two-storey buildings. Our was furthest from the road and 30 metres from the sea, so right on the beach and a lovely location looking across Magdalena Bay. The...
