The reason this hotel deserves 4 stars is not because it is a fabulous hotel - it is because they know the experience they are providing and have priced it better than fair. Where else can you stay in a clean, comfortable hotel for the US equivalent of $37.50 per night? You get far more than you pay for in...

My husband and I and our 2 friends stayed at Hotel Brennan the night before we went whale watching. It's very comfortable and reasonably priced. We also had a good breakfast in the morning before we set out for the bay. Friendly staff, private bath, comfortable beds. Our whale watching guide was Enrique who was excellent! We arranged the trip...

I found this hotel to be quite nice and reasonably priced. The room felt spacious and the shower was awesome. It was hot and high pressure. This was a great launching point to see the whales in Magdelena Bay, and they help set up the tour. While it wasn't high class, it was perfectly within our budget.

The best thing about Hotel Brennan is setting up the whale excursion with Enrique! The accommodations are quite comfortable. I had a queen sized bed with what seemed to be a recently upgraded bathroom. The t.v.'s English speaking channels did not come in, but that was not a big deal. The building in general can be a bit noisy as...

We has an excellent day with Enreique, arranged through the Hotel Brennan. He had answers to all of our questions and got us up to pet the whale. You can tell he loves his work, happy and enjoying himself.

We went to San Carlos to see the whales. It was a wonderful experience!!! Hotel Brennan is very clean and the guide Enrique was excellent! I highly recommend this place. Contact the hotel directly and ask for whale watching tours. They are the best!!! I touched the baby whale twice :),it was awesome!

The hotel is very old but I think the owners are trying to add extras to it. The lady that checked us in did not speak English but she was very nice and we figured it out. We had breakfast the next morning and it was good.

This is a basic hotel with no frills. What it scores on is cleanliness, friendly staff, cool breezy rooms and a convenient location for walking into town or organising a whale watching trip with Enrique (highly recommended if you get an opportunity. He is an expert sailor, really knows the water, and respects the whales and their babies). The owner...

If you plan on coming here for whale watching this a pretty good over night stay. Very basic but very clean, hot showers and a comfortable bed. If you ask for room 6 or 7 there are little juliet balconies. A very friendly little town.

We have been seeing whales in front of our house in San Jose del Cabo for weeks, Wanting to get up close and personal with them, we drove 6 hours to Magdalena Bay and stayed at the friendly, though Spartan, Hotel Brennan. We should have done our homework! Humpbacks, which we see in San Jose apparently migrate earlier than Gray...

“The suite across the street is suitable for a couple of guys. It's equipped with a kitchen, a coffee pot and dishes. The rest of it is rather spartan. I'm sure it would be ok if you're going there to ride the dune buggies. Breakfast is served next door to the hotel, which I thought was a nice convenience.”
