Biggest french appartment ever experienced. Cozy 450 sqmeters actually meant to accomodate 14-16 guests. Far from the usual french kitchinette with diminuative pots and pans. Situated directly at the piste . Terrasses perfectly for afternoon sun, and your local outdoor afterskiing , that is, if you don’t collide with Madams periods. However, partykillers are found worldwide. Do check prizes, which may vary due to various owners. Week number 7 had a lot of rain and strenous skiing.

Clean, cozy, good staff, great view, open fire place... Perfectly located at the edge of the slopes. You can have a room only or with an apartement (kitchen & living room) Get your bread delivered every day and have breakfast like at home In the evening, the restaurants "Les Servages" or "Milkhotel" are just next or we walked 10 minutes down to the center for other restaurants. Covered parking!

My husband and I enjoyed a very large double room with a good bathroom, with a good view. All very clean with garaging and a good ski locker. Perfect for our stay. You can usually ski to the door but always walk to the Milk Hotel for cocktails or supper. Or the rather pricey hotel next door. Les Carroz is a great resort with access to the Grand Massif. Will return.

My partner and I visited in March 2017 and enjoyed a lovely week stay at the Hotel Residence les Servages. We had a hotel room and on our 2nd night, the lady who works in the hotel (who is lovely!) left a note on our room to say she had upgraded us to a room with a better view - that looked out on to the ski run (Timalets) back in to the town. The hotel had everything that we needed and the location was great, it is right next to the ski run and there is a ski hire shop not far away, the lady offered to call them to collect us and take us to the shop if we had wanted. If you wanted to have croissants for breakfast, or bread, then these were left in reception to be collected. There are garages and heated rooms for your ski wear at the end of the day. I would recommend staying here and would stay again!

A really nice and comfortable residence. Very spacious living area. Very quiet. Well equipped kitchen. The woman who looked after the site was very nice and helpful, and accommodated our special requests, including a Nespresso coffee machine, and very late checkout (7pm). Enjoyed fireplace in living room. A 50 Meter walk down a short driveway to the main road, from where you can ski down to the Telecabine. You can also ski back directly to the same point, though note that this requires navigating a red piste (you can also ski down to the Telecabine via blue run and get a bus back - it runs hourly). Apartment is roughly 1.5km from the center of town, so a car is highly recommended (though there is a busm and it is a nice walk if the weather is good). Wifi speed perfectly reasonable for regular use and even streaming - less so for video calls (i've had much worse in other alpine hotels). You can order bread and pastries and they bakery will deliver it to the lobby in the morning. Skiset (for equipment hire) is roughly 800m down the road, although they do provide a shuttle that will deliver the equipment to the residence. Will definitely consider a repeat visit.

An incomparable location just above the village right on the ski slope..Underground heated parking!..And in summer the huge balconies are the very best place to relax in the afternoon and evening sun. All the rooms are far bigger than you'll usually find in a holiday apartment....The lounge is huge! Marie Claire is the most beautiful host......I'd take her home with me if it was allowed!! Before you try anywhere else in Les Carroz.......Look very closely at Hotel residence Les Servages

We only stayed there for a couple of days, but these appartments would actually be perfect for a week or even more. They are amazingly spacious and clean when compared to French standards. Their location couldn't be nearer to the slopes; it really just is 20m away from the slopes. They come with a fully equipped kitchen, but you can also just go to the nearby restaurant which is actually the best in Les Carroz if you don't feel like cooking. Plus you get complimentary parking space, even in a garage, if you prefer. Marie Claire, merci pour l'accueil. Highly recommended!

These apartments are extremely clean and comfortable. Fresh croissants can be delivered daily along with tea and coffee facilities in the room. The alternative the breakfast was in the neighbouring hotel at 25 Euros each. The only downside to these apartments is that is no communal area and in the evening the shuttle bus which stops right outside accommodation finishes at 7:30. Therefore it's about a 10 minute walk down into the village. However, being able to ski down to the gondola straight from the hotel and return via red run was fabulous. This is great accommodation for couples although been recommended for children because of the walk and the lack of and communal facilities.

There’s often a great opportunity in checking out the satellite villages of a ski area as alternatives to the central village, and the Grand Massif is a good example of this. Flaine is the main settlement, but it’s not as nice as satellite villages such as Samoens and Les Carroz. Les Carroz is a nice place to stay; quite small, relatively quiet, but with all the local facilities you might need, the feel of an authentic French mountain village, good access from the motorway, and great access to the Grand Massif ski area. I’d rather stay here than in Flaine. Hôtel Résidence les Servages is the hidden gem within the hidden gem. The hotel is a bit out of town, but just about within walking distance of Les Carroz centre for a fit skier; alternatively, you can take a free shuttle bus to the centre – they stop in front of the hotel. However, it has great access to the slopes – hundred percent ski-in ski-out; there’s a piste in front of the hotel that runs down to the main lift station, and a jolly nice run can return you back to the front of your hotel at the end of the day. My room was large, clean, well equipped, and looked recently renovated. Firm, comfortable bed. The hotel’s elevated position gave my room a great view across the village and the valleys and mountains beyond. The hotel has genuinely free and remarkably fast wifi, supposedly only in public areas, although I could just about get a connection in my room. The woman who looks after the hotel, Marie-Claire, was very helpful and speaks very good English. At a hundred Euros a night for a single room (room only), it was pretty good value. Breakfast is a remarkably expensive option, so I recommend buying breakfast food to eat in your room (which has free tea and coffee making facilities), or breakfasting on the slopes. The front desk is only sometimes staffed (not a problem for me); the place has the feel of being part-way between a hotel and an apartment complex. The basement ski storage facility was remarkably generous. I stored my skis not in a locker, but in my own personal locked cubicle with floor area about a meter square. It even had a bench. It’s like I had my own private boot room. The Hôtel Résidence les Servages takes sub-week bookings (my stay was four nights), and has a relatively short transfer time from Geneva; it occurs to me that it might make a good place for a short ski break. By the way, it seems there are two adjacent hotels with “Les Servages” in their titles, so don’t get them confused. I don’t know if they’re connected by anything other than their names.

The Residence is a self-catering option, there is no restaurant. The residence can be booked as apartments which are exceptional in style, quality and size, or as individual rooms if they are not already booked out as an apartment. I stayed in bedroom 11 which is a twin room. This was not part of the apartment option, booked last minute with a friend for the very reasonable price of 80 Euros a night (for both of us). The room has a massive amount of cupboard space and a huge bathroom as well as tea and coffee making facilities. However be clear, the Residence is a long way out of town. If you want to self-cater you either need a car or to plan your shopping trips around the bus timetable. The bust stops right outside but is not very frequent and the last bus up from town is at 19.15. It is a good 15 minutes’ walk down to the center of town; it is fairly steep and takes much longer on the way back. You would not want to do this with a load of shopping to carry. It is ski in and out located at the bottom of the Timalets run.
