Just returned from a 3-night stay in the Osprey VIP Lodge. We would definitely recommend it if you just want to get away and chill out like we did. It's a quiet site compared to where we have been in the past, but local amenities are not far away with a shop and pub in the village and Aberyswyth is only a 10-15 minute drive. If you wanted to use the golf facilities or go for walks, it is in a great location.

The lodge was great. It was clean on arrival and contained things we didn't expect such as a dishwasher and washing machine to name two. We imagine the balcony outside the main bedroom would be great in the warm weather for breakfast given the view. Each bedroom on the upper level had an en-suite which was good. The hot tub was clean and in a good location to look over the site and surrounding countryside being on the top of the hill but had good privacy so you weren't overlooked by the lodge next door.

There were a few practical things we would suggest such as maybe a matting of some sort outside of the hot tub. The timber decking got quite slippy when it was wet from getting in and out. Maybe a couple of towel hooks near the hot tub too so guests can hang their towels but it didn't take anything away from what was a very nice weekend away.

We will be looking to return perhaps for a weekend in the summer.

The staff are friendly but when I told them the tv wasn’t working they just said thanks for telling us and didn’t offer to fix it and with there being no signal or data there isn’t much more to do in the evening. Everything seems really old and used for example frying pan was greasy when we got there and the non stick element had been worn. Salt and pepper shaker with no pepper or salt inside but for a two night stay it’s not something you want to buy. No washing up liquid to clean with or dishwasher tablets meaning can only wash plates with water which isn’t great. Luckily since we have been before I remembered to bring some but not enough. When we visited in February there where just two of us so 4 plates was enough but with there being 4 of us this time one plate each wasn’t enough and we ended up having meals at different times. The place does need some tlc as there are bits of wood falling of and the upstairs balcony seems unsafe as the wood is bent and does wobble. The tv Ariel was held up by string so it has obviously been tampered with before you try and make it work.

It’s a good distance from Aberystwyth and the town is excellent.

I would say £440 for 2 nights for this accommodation was overpriced considering they told us where we stayed was the best one they had.

I think staying twice is more than enough and we won’t be coming back.

We’ve thoroughly enjoyed our week here in an Eagle Gold caravan. It was immaculate, thoroughly cleaned and very nicely furnished as if new. It had everything we needed, except the obvious consumables. They even provided a tea towel, dish sponge and baking trays, which we haven’t had in other places. The play area was great for the children, we used the swimming pool every day too, which also has a steam room and jacuzzi. There’s a nice little games room, tennis courts which need a bit of TLC but still playable and you can borrow rackets from reception. Lots of children around, so my children had friends to play with, but still a very quiet site. My husband enjoyed playing golf on the main course and the 9-hole and we all used the driving range too. The red kites fly overhead all the time, coming quite low, which was brilliant. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. We will definitely recommend the site to others.

Nearby we found lovely fish and chips in Llanon, and The Barn in Llanrhystud does a brilliant Sunday carvery, with a nice play area outside. We went to Aberaeron a few times, loved it there. A lovely harbour with gorgeous honey ice cream at Hive, nice fish and chips near the harbour too and an amazing Chinese takeaway just off the Main Street. Lots of crabbing. New Quay was a great day out, crabbing again, lovely beach. The Vale of Rheidol railway was worth the price, a lovely trip up to Devil’s bridge.

Caravan was spotless beds were very comfortable really enjoyed my 4 night stay
The park itself is very nice and the surrounding countryside beautiful . The only fault I do have with the Park is the lack of WiFi as you can’t get a phone signal the Wi-Fi really does need to be improved I’m not just saying this because I couldn’t get on social media I’m really not interested my point is if you have an emergency and there are only two of you you would have to walk around the park in order to try to get a phone signal to call the emergency services in addition if someone is trying to get a hold of you with an emergency at home they would not be able to do so.
I really do hope notice is taken about the Wi-Fi situation with what I and other people have commented on and not just the same answer which has been given to everyone especially when the park is advertised as it being available.
I would have given 5 * otherwise as I loved it here.

Penrhos Park is a wonderful stay for a short break. We stayed in the osprey VIP no:1. Upon arrival, we were very impressed with our Scandinavian style wooden dwelling. The kitchen was fully equipped with everything you need. The towels and bedding are provided. There was a large Jacuzzi hot tub 👍👍👍There is a washing machine, dishwasher and a fridge with small freezer. It really was a home from home. We shared this accommodation with our daughter, her husband and Our granddaughter. It seemed very quiet and the view was Beautiful. We watched the sunsetting between the hills. The staff were friendly and there is a clubhouse with a bar. It was a bit pricey but it was nice. There is also a swimming pool should you want to use it. All in all we were pleased that we had booked here .Sorry but this is now the negative things.there is no sound proofing in this Accommodation. We could hear everything from every room. If you sleep in the downstairs bedroom, you can hear The conversations from the room above you. We had a problem with flies on the top floor. Unfortunately we could not use fly spray as our daughter and granddaughter are asthmatic. The corner sofa was not the best , we had to sit on pillows, it was totally broken and very uncomfortable not to mention it had was torn and shabby. That’s it really it for the negative. It really was quite a nice place to stay. There is a bench on the front of your porch, really nice to sit out and Take in the scenery.

Book the golf and the spa which I thought was not bad and reasonably priced The golf course itself was nice the greens I found disappointing for a high-level golf club I would expect better I have seen better greens locally as in Cilgwyn and Borth golf Clubs. My partner and her daughter enjoy this pool and the facilities inside although there wasn’t a place to change with your little toddler one so you had to be two if you had a young toddler then we came back to the clubhouse and it seemed dead there no atmosphere and the friendless was missing not a welcome I would expect I asked for the menu to have a meal and they only had snacks that was very limited and the choices was was not good we three ordered the same bacon brie and Cranberry sauce in a baguette which told afterwards there was no Cranbury sauce in truth and facts after having the meal it was tasteless no effort or presentation went into it at all. that decision alone I made a decision not to have my birthday supper there and when someone else so they lost out on another meal for six what’s the would boost for their income in fact I feel very disappointed and to be honest I won’t be turning in hurry for the golf or the meal

We were so looking forward to having a weekend away before Winter kicked in, we booked from Friday to Monday.

We arrived Friday afternoon and were pleasantly pleased with the look of the park and the caravan we booked was lovely, the weather wasn’t the best so we thought a weekend of relaxing and watching tv.

The caravan itself was lovely and was warm and clean, we were happy watching tv on Saturday afternoon when the TV just went off and was displaying as no Channels were available, after 3 hours of trying to get the TV back working I telephoned the reception only to be told that there was nothing they could possibly do as the maintenance person was not available but the problem would be put in the book and I would be contacted first thing tomorrow morning. I asked if another tv could be available as the WIFi is non existent and now no tv.
The customer service was absolutely shocking and it’s Monday evening and I am still waiting to be contacted about the TV,

We were so looking forward to a lovely break but PenRhos Park do not deserve anyone’s custom as they were so rude and unhelpful and the customer service was the worst I’ve ever come across

The ravages of covid stopped us coming last year, so we were ecstatic to 'come home' to this little haven.
Sian and her team welcome you back like old friends. Osprey 2 this time, and just as homely and cosy as ever. It really is a kick off your shoes, grab a glass and chill vibe to the whole peaceful, beautiful site.
If you are wanting top notch WiFi, phone reception and non stop links to today's frenetic commercial mechanisation you are in the wrong place. If you can appreciate beauty, nature, fantastic service, relaxed friendliness and accessing your iPad as a bonus rather than a necessity, then you will have an absolutely wonderful stay.
Already planning our next visit!

Our Lapland trip got cancelled and the children were already booked out of school because of that so we found hot tub break instead.

This place is lovely and I'd highly recommend, they called me before our trip to send the welcome pack, staff were lovely and friendly on arrival.

Our cabin was perfect, lots of space, lovely and warm and cosy, the hot tub was a great addition, handy having the washing machine to freshen up the hot tub/pool towels etc.
There were tea towels, scourer, dishcloth and anti bac gel supplied but we had bought all our supplies with us.
Very handy having 3 bathrooms too.

We used the pool twice during our stay and booked our slots when we arrived, the 1st time the pool was our own.
We were situated at the top of the park with a view over the park and hills beyond and had the most fantastic display of red kites and buzzards, perfect photo opportunities.
We didn't eat at the clubhouse so can't comment.

Only an overnight stay with a group of friends for a golf trip , one night BB with 2 rounds of golf for £90 an absolute bargain. The course is on a mountain and I was very happy to have pre booked a buggy , the others who walked first round booked a buggy for the next day ! The course was in great condition with lovely open green fairways to excellent greens where you need to think about the putting. My group were a mix of all handicap abilities and all found it a great test and thoroughly enjoyed. Some really decent views from the course as well and the red kites fly very close to you. The rooms were clean and comfortable and i would have no qualms about spending more time there. Good facilities if you want such as a swimming pool and a decent bar/clubhouse where all the staff are welcoming and helpful. The only downside in my opinion is that it is a long way from a town with any evening life if that's required.
