Stayed one evening/night over Valentines weekend. Room and bed were very clean and comfortable. Valentines dinner was excellent with some unexpected flavour combinations, appetiser and well timed courses. Ambience is a pleasure, with a log fire, a cosy bar and a quiet location. Staff are friendly. Check in and out was painless. Room was cold on arrival with no visible... More

Happy days! We love feedback like this. It's positive and helpful, it shows that all the effort we make pays off, but it also shows that despite one or two foibles you still love us. We'll get to work on the issues you pointed out. We've just added extra sound insulation in the floor between the bar and the room... More

Booked a night here recently and unfortunately will not be returning. The welcome we received was almost non existent but hoped that wasn't a bad sign, not informed about anything about the hotel or anything else. Shown to our room which was very nice, spacious and comfortable, if a little chilly - like the welcome! We didn't eat in the... More

Stayed here before and had a great stay the facilities were good. Came back recently bedroom was comfy but seemed to lack coffee/ tea making facilities. Dinner time used to have a olive and breads but didn't have that was really looking forward to it. Overall the breakfast was really good as usual!

Thank you for your review, it really is most helpful. Historic hotel in picturesque village, especially by St Margaret's Bay, very convenient for Dover-Deal. Good buffet breakfast with lovely fresh fruit salad, several Dorset mueslis and selection of cheeses and cold meats: hot dishes available at extra cost but we didn't need them. Nice menu for evening meals. Friendly, helpful staff. Unfortunately the wi fi was erratic, especially in restaurant.... More

Lovely review, thanks ever so much. Glad you enjoyed your White Cliffs Holiday, it really is a great area to explore and we're so lucky to be an area of outstanding natural beauty too. We've just had a brilliant WIFI upgrade to Superfast Fibreoptic Broadband here. We did have a couple of days that went a bit wobbly, but now... More

Old buildings old furniture, bathroom could use an update! Evrything was clean though. Friendly people very good dinner and a nice breakfast. I read somewhere that this hotel was a quiet one.....must be the village that is quiet because I thought the (Hungarian?) music was quite loud. Never the less we had a good night stay.

Thank you for your lovely review. The music was a bit loud on Saturday... Chris was in charge of 'the decks' on that evening & got a little carried away. After his recent visit to the nearby Smuggler's Festival the playlist included the Friday night headliners 'The John Langan Band'. The music has an Eastern European vibe with high energy,... More
