As a visitor to the Lion Royal many times, a small family group of us decided to take our wives with us for a road biking weekend away. When we explained that we were bringing our wives, Jane's response was a little hestitant and she asked if we had told our wives what to expect. Our response to her was...

This is a 14th Century Inn. It is not a "Modern" building and does not offer things such as Televisions in the rooms, or Wi fi. It's a breath of fresh air to me, it is was it is, and I loved it. An un molested historic building. The accommodation was very comfortable and clean. The Breakfast was superb. The...

The hotel has a number of rooms downstairs to sit in to enjoy a drink and there is a main room / hall upstairs. There were fires burning in...

I've used the Lion Royal for nearly twenty years and have always enjoyed one of their good hearty breakfasts to start my day, whether it be motorcycling (with secure covered parking outback), or hillwalking (with somewhere warm to dry your clothes), or on this occasion a 3 day break from a mammoth cycle tour round wales. The hotel has recently...
