Bar had nice feel with fairy lights and good atmosphere. Although this is on a main road it's quiet and surrounded by sheep fields (jumping lambs...

Have visited here many times with the family for Sunday Roast , the meat is always perfectly cooked and everything else delicious except the yorkshires are invariably, burnt ? But other than that we are happy . The atmosphere/ environment is pleasant and the staff are friendly and helpful.

My wife and I took our 11 month old baby for a little break over the bank holiday weekend. We left things a bit late to book our usual place to stay and stumbled on the Lodge. I am very glad that we did. The Lodge is ideally located between Winchelsea and Rye with Hastings only a 15 minute drive...

I've started here many times. The rooms are large and clean. The bathrooms also. Parking is good. The bar has a good selection of local drinks. The breakfast is great and staff always friendly and welcoming. If you like to stay connected though, the phone signal is weak and the free WiFi only really works in the restaurant/bar area -...

I am glad you enjoyed your time whilst staying with us. We are set in beautiful National Trust countryside so if you are ever back in the area and choose to stay with us again, I can suggest some lovely walking trails of the local area with breath taking views.

The overall view was good , staff were friendly and helpful, location great the only thing letting it down was the room , the room had a smell like wet dog and the bath room wasn't very clean , breakfast was average the usual cereal on offer , but again the toast let them down I think it must have...

Many thanks for your feedback. I apologize that you didn't have a satisfactory stay with us as usually we get rave reviews. We have recently had several rooms carpet cleaned and this may be the odour you were experiencing, I do understand this is not what you would expect when you check into a room and on this occasion it...

We spent a family weekend at The Lodge as a base to move in the area and visit beautiful Winchelsea, Rye, Hastings and Battle. It was a great choice. The location is very convenient, the room was basic, as expected, but clean and quiet and we had a great night sleep. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The area...

Took my son's and mother out for Sunday lunch we had reserved a table weeks ago. Was disappointed as restaurant was empty and we were put on a tresel table. Carvery was very disappointing the food was warm and had no flavour to any of it at all . Dessert was very nice. Maybe we were just unlucky

The staff make this hotel ,Unfailingly helpful and cheerful they stopped us leaving almost immediately and looking elsewhere, Our twin room was the smallest we have ever stayed in .With one window and a tiny set of drawers inside a tiny wardrobe it quickly became claustrophobic. The fact that there is no lounge area in the hotel -unless you want...

I am happy to hear that they staff catered to your needs and looked after you well. I do sympathize that the ground floor rooms are a little on the cosy side and I apologize that you didn't enjoy your stay. Room 6 has a beautiful view and is a very spacious room. If you were ever in the area...
