Booking ahead advisable. Good friendly service. Food a little slow coming, but worth the wait. We sat down at 1.00pm and the specials were sold out. A good sign. Delicious stuffed mushrooms followed by pasta and meat balls. A nice atmosphere. Recommended

We try every year to visit Suffolk to catch up with family and we try and stay at The Angel as it's the best around. The staff are always friendly, the place is always clean and the bedrooms are very comfortable. We usually eat in the restaurant and the menu is always interesting and the food has never let us...

Everyone in the hotel was very friendly and helpful. There is an Italian restaurant on site as well as a bar with an open fire. The rooms are large and well presented, if not as modern as they might be. there is free parking and the accommodation is a good price. The town of Halesworth is charming - full of...

I stayed here for 4 nights, (Jan 39th till Feb 3rd) and had a wonderful, relaxing time. The hotel is spotless and the staff cannot do enough to accomodate your wishes. I had room 7, it was a perfect size for me as a lone person. The breakfast was cooked to perfection and there was plenty of cereals, juices etc...

We started here over the New Year Celebrations and we wouldn't have wished to go elsewhere. From the moment we arrived we were welcomed and treated very very well by Paul. We had our new year meal in the stables for our group of 13, and our own waiter, Adam, who was brilliant. When Adam had to go and help...

Brilliant evening to celebrate new years eve. 13 of us had booked the function room which has a really lovely relaxed feel. The food was excellent and the staff were 2nd to none with nothing being too much trouble. We'd also booked rooms which were perfectly fine. Beds were comfortable. Lovely hot shower this morning. Breakfast was also great and...

We stayed for one night as a base for meeting friends and family. Our room (1) was very spacious and well appointed. Obviously in an inn of this age the creaky floors and slightly uneven surfaces go with the territory and are part of the charm. The breakfast and evening meals (Cleone's) are good, with plenty to choose from in...

Stopped off for a light lunch. Good selection of food on the menu card and three different areas of the pub to choose from. We chose the more cosy room with an open fire (could have gone for the 'atrium' part or the smaller bar). Great sandwiches and speedy service, nice relaxed atmosphere,

Stayed at The Angel for 2 nights recently. Arrived mid afternoon pub was busy but checked in with no problem. Pleasantly surprised with the rooms which were clean and comfy. Slept very well despite the pub being very busy. All the staff were very friendly, breakfast was lovely. Nothing too much trouble both mornings. Absolutely no complaints.

An excellent restaurant and bar are rather let down by the quality of the bathrooms but hey ho, its clean, somewhere to sleep, and very reasonably prices. Service can be a little slow but the staff are friendly, helpful; and polite.
