I booked with a Wonderbox but, a week before my stay, I had a family problem that prevented me from leaving: this is why I asked you to cancel the reservation or, at least, move it to the next year spring. I was denied both possibilities: through Wonderbox I was offered to negotiate a "cancellation fee", which I refused because I find this behavior shameful. As expected, I was unable to come: enjoy the money from my voucher I lost
Not a great experience. In summary; Carpets were dirty Chairs had stains on them Hair in the bath Had to make your own bed The provided linen didn’t actually fit the bedding No TV remote Dirty walls with damp patches Had to remove own rubbish, strip own beds and pay extra for a ‘cleaning kit’ to use the kitchenette
we booked a last minute (2 week notice) trip to the Grand Massif and found this hits on booking.com it was a great location. clean and ample studios with small kitchenette bedding (make the bed yourself on arrival) and towels. we arrived after the reception closed (make sure you advise when booking) and very easy instructions were left for us to make sure we got into the room Ok. the breakfast option was adequate for our needs and a very short walk (up hill) to the Morillon free ski bus or a 10 minute walk (if not in ski boots) takes you to the main gondola. location was great. all facilities you’d expect such as ski room and wi-fi. would certainly return
This is a super-limited service apartment hotel. Check-in is only at very specific times - they lock the door until 4.30pm and there's no-one at the front desk until that time. You are expected to make your bed, clean the bathroom and take out the trash too. The rooms are actually fine, although our kitchen was minuscule. The pool is much smaller than it looks in the photo. I wouldn't say it was good value for the price we paid.
We had a really nice time here - staying in a one bedroom apartment. Apartment was clean with a well equipped little kitchen and a fantastic view (from our balcony) of the mountains. Perfect for our family of 3. Staff were helpful and friendly in fact we arrived early and they very kindly let us check in early, at no extra charge. Very nice welcome and service. There’s an indoor pool, which the kids loved playing in at the end of a day’s skiing. Residence Grand Massif is a collection of studio and self catered apartments (although the hotel does offer breakfast at an additional cost) so for anyone expecting 24-hour reception or room service you won’t find it here. Reception is open for a certain period twice daily (morning and late afternoon) although we found that staff were available in between these times, usually in the office, and happy to help with queries. For anyone checking in outside of these times, the staff will leave room keys for you and details of the front door access code. If you need to store luggage prior to check in or following check out then they’re happy to do that for you. What you will find are decent apartments to suit a variety of budgets. For the budget conscious, you can just book basic no-frills accommodation bring your own towels and clean the place yourself during your stay, which is what we did. The kitchen was small but perfectly adequate for eating breakfast or cooking an evening meal - we did this, as well as eating out some nights. For those wanting to spend a bit more you can order towels, breakfast and have your room cleaned (daily or at the end of your stay), all for extra an fee but the service is there if you want it. We would definitely go back and stay here. Nice place and lovely little village.…
Located as described on the edge of the village of Morillon with a shuttle to and from the ski station. The room was comfortable as a base and basically kitted out with necessary cooking essentials, two ring cooker, microwave, fridge, dishwasher and en suite. The village has plenty of atmosphere, but lacks apres-ski evenings. So if that is part of what one looks for on a ski trip then look elsewhere. Nevertheless, the skiing was great!
Great place, one room with bathroom - very clean and tidy. Giving an excellent as we didn't expect to find a small kitchen annex with all utensils which made the evening perfect, with are home made dinner and wine.
i stayed at residence grand massif for 5days with my EXgirlfriend. it all was a good experience except the very small kitchen. not practical at all. except that point everything its ok at Grand massif. Staff are friendly and helpful. swinning pool inside is very comfortable after a long day to walk on moutains. Geographic location is very good place near all comodity and town center.
I stayed with my son in a one bed apartment and it’s the 6th time I’ve been. It’s a 20 min walk to the Morillon lift with skis and boots or the bus stops across the road. You can buy breakfast or if walking you can stop at the patisserie for a pain au chocolat. The room is basic but clean and has all you need inc microwave. There is free parking. Book through the Vacanceole web site and you’ll get it cheaper than booking. Check it out.
We stayed here for a family ski holiday. Very quiet apartments and location. A large part of the attraction when we booked was the swimming pool, but it was out of order all the time we stayed (half term - so peak season) and no efforts seemed to be made to fix it. In addition, the lift was out of order so we had to lug all our gear upstairs. The apartments are small but cosy, warm and well equipped, with a good view. Ample parking. Short walk or drive to the village and ski gondola. Dogs allowed to stay with you.
