Room was sub-standard as walls were so thin, heating was inadequate for the room, food was basic and there was no service at all. Worst stay in entire country. My husband tried many times to address issues with the staff but was ignored. As this place is in the middle of nowhere we had no choice but to stay over....

My sister in Akld had a voucher, so we set off for a relaxing weekend, weather was not too great but the views from the Moa Lounge were lovely. We didn't realise we would be sharing with others but they were all nice; our room was basic but adequate. We did not mind sharing the bathroom or the kitchen. We...

The road through Arthur's pass is not to be missed, but the accommodation choices are limited. The hotel is in a stunning location which also gets much less rain than Arthurs Pass township. Our room was small by NZ standards. Kitchenette does not have cooking facility except for microwave, but you can use the hostel kitchen. The TV did not...

The hotel is located about 10 mins from Arthurs pass village and has a spectacular outlook from the rooms but that is as good as it got. Rooms are very old and run down. We traveled in August 2015 and the night we stayed it got down to -14 with only two basic heaters in the room it was insufficient...

Had a voucher to stay but may has well been full price. The 'Moa Lodge' is very backpakers and quite tacky, a shame as in a great location. The place needs a good overhaul as in the heart of the national park

Situated just before the township, in an incredibly picturesque location. However the room was dated and very cold with only a cheap little fan heater for warmth. No cell coverage, expensive WiFi, crappy TV. Staff were kind and helpful.

We stayed here a night for a twin share. It was cheap and It is very basic, a room with bedding & towel, however it was the bathroom situations that let us down. We were in a room sharing 2 bathrooms with 11 other rooms, each bathroom had only one toilet and shower in each. Not enough for many people!...

Excellent location for getting away from the city to enjoy nature. Room had no hair dryer nor shampoo so make sure you take your own. Also take a torch as it is very dark at night to walk up to the restaurant. The barman is very friendly. Meal was great except my soup came to the table at same time...

If you are looking for luxury, go to the Chateau in Arthur's Pass. If you are after a comfortable, warm, friendly and completely unpretentious place to stay in an absolutely brilliant location, choose the Bealey. Great communication at booking stage and leading up to arrival (helped me to coordinate a bus to/from Christchurch), and again when I arrived. Great advice...

Actually, one and a half rooms wih kitchen, etc. The night sky is incredible,no lights around so the stars are dazzling. The food in the bar/restaurant was delicious and cheap. Try the chicken or steak pies. The owner was so nice an helpful. The atmsphere...
