Stayed in a twin room, ensuite bathroom with plenty of warm bedding and just enough space for the suitcase. An extra heater kept things toasty. Very nice to have my own designated space for food in the galley-style kitchen, which was just large enough that I never felt like we were tripping over each other trying to make meals in...

This lodge is very comfortable, has no bunks, and is very well resourced - particularly in the kitchen. The owners live next door and are lovely. The prices are very reasonable and I enjoyed my stay here.

Only stayed here to access the balloon ride company; sadly the weather stopped the balloon ride. Nice relaxed hostel style place. good facilities with kitchen and large lounge area. Usual NZ nonsense with WiFi here, unlike some of the hostels we stayed in. However, two Spark free WiFi zones in the town so best to use those (also faster and...

We stayed at the lodge last week and enjoyed it a lot! The room contained everything we needed, including electric blankets ;) We especially liked the 'living room'. Comfortable, cosy and the fireplace kept us warm and made us feel at home. Thanks to the friendly owners! Definitely a go to place if you are in Methven!

My friend and I stayed for 5 nights. Coming back from the snow each day, to a really warm and relaxed environment with an endless selection of movies, books and board games, it was the perfect end to the day. One of the best beds I've slept in, full sized kitchen and to top it off, the owners are super...

Maybe a bit of a rough diamond? Liz and Martin made our stay really easy. The welcome and info provided really added a lot to our 3 night stay with our kids and another family while skiing on Mt Hutt. Methven pubs/shops all within easy walking distance which is especially useful after few drinks with dinner (recommend the brown pub,...

Wonderful accomodations for the price. We traveled there during shoulder season which may have had something to do with this, but the beds were comfy, nice warm fire, huge kitchen, nice clean bathroom, everything about it was fantastic.
