Wow! The view from our room was nothing short of astonishing! We loved our stay at the Mt Cook Lodge and Motels during springtime. Despite on and off weather we really had fun in the National park. We also loved the free shuttle from the lodge to the activity center. How handy!

Stayed in a private unit. Convenient parking. Room was very comfortable with all the things we need. A sufficiently equipped kitchen, comfortable bed and sofa. Good TV reception. Stable (but chargable) wifi. Definitely worth the stay.

We stayed one night at the Mt. Cook Lodge which is located in the lower portion of Mt. Cook Village. This is a simply spectacular location surrounded by snow capped mountains and at the end of a broad valley. Our ground level suite was quite nice with a full kitchen. It also had a nice patio with great mountain views.... More

We stayed in a deluxe family room. Room is warm and comfortable. Seems to have undergone renovation recently. Nice environment and good walking trails around. Check in was easy. Wifi cost $5 for each device.

We had a double room, which was a good size and had a decent-sized bathroom. Mt Cook Village doesn't have many amenities so it's best to bring food in with you, though you can get by on what you can get there. The TV did have bad reception, but we weren't there to watch the TV! The setting was beautiful,... More

Booked the lodge for 3 nights at 140 NZ per night. Nice room on front of the building with a great view. Very clean room but a very soft bed. First night was quiet. When we returned from our Hooker Valley hike the next morning we were greeted by a workman who required access to our balcony for demolition work.... More

We arrived here with my partner and his mum who is visiting us from the UK and had to stay because although we booked in advance Mount Cook was fully booked. We decided to have a private room and for $190 we thought it would at least be half decent. How wrong were we. When we arrived in the room... More

Despite being slightly more expensive than the other NZ hostels we visited, the Mount Cook Lodge had a much smaller, a less user-friendly kitchen, they charged per device for WiFi access, didn't offer towels, and we found a used Band Aid in the shower (it wasn't the cleanest room I've ever seen). If you can afford it, I'd recommend The... More

... looking for an accommodation in Aoraki Village: Do not choose this one. It was all clean and tidied up, but neither comfortable nor worth spending 39 NZD per night. The beds were horrible, staff was only superficially friendly (mocking at customers behind their back in front of other customers is a no go...), the bathrooms are old and used.... More

We had read previous reviews of this place & decided to steer clear. Not wanting to pay the prices of other properties, we thought we'd wing it & find another in the area...wrong. There are literally just a handful of accommodation choices & so after an exhausting day, we decided we had no choice but to stay here. Our expectations... More
