Our experience from start to finish was out of this world, truly memorable, the food was divine and creative British ingredients cooked to perfection, every wine that we chose added more excellence! We had a memorable bonus from the most accommodating bunch of chefs you could ever wish to meet. Our organiser Alison and all the front of house deserve...

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and the food was delicious - a real experience. My husband and I were treated to an overnight stay and meal at Baslow Hall by our daughters and their partners. The accommodation is cosy and comfortable, the welcome friendly and genuine. The service was impeccable and the attention to detail and information about the courses and...

We celebrated the 70th birthday of my wife's brother in law. Baslow Hall is a lovely building approached through extensive grounds and is in the heart of good walking country. We were warmly greeted by staff who were efficient and anxious to please. The food was excellent and the whole occasion was a great success. We had planned to spend...

The Taste of Britain menu was sensational, the John Dory and the Scallop dishes the highlights but all the courses made this the most complete dining experience I have ever had. If I have one criticism, such as it is, the whole experience was a little formal for my taste, but that is a very minor point and completely subjective....

A fantastic evening. The pleasure of experiencing the "Taste of Britain menu" with accompanying wines , whilst watching and chatting with the chefs. Ten courses all exquisitely presented and explained only surpassed by the taste. This brief glimpse into the workings of a high class kitchen adds to the appreciation of the food and the work that goes into it,...

We stayed here for my husbands birthday/our anniversary. It came highly recommended and I too can highly recommend! From the moment we got stepped inside, we were greeted immediately and shown to our gorgeous garden room. We sampled some afternoon drinks and later dined in the restaurant. We chose the taster menu - absolutely amazing! Can't wait to return to...

With two teenaged boys, we stayed in two garden rooms. Both rooms were beautifully appointed with a fresh yet classical decor, super modern bathrooms and the only hotel I've ever wanted to use the bath, normally preferring to stick with the shower. Great nights sleep and loads of space in the rooms. Unfortunately we arrived a few hours later than...

Booked a midweek tasting menu break for my partner's birthday. Beautiful country house in the heart of Baslow at the top of a long winding drive. We were met at the front door by the host who showed us to our room and explained the arrangements for dinner. Gorgeous room - clean, comfortable and well stocked. Dinner was as expected,...
