Arrived on Nov. 11th..sent to our bungalow and on first impressions looked ok .Then we took a closer look ..both single beds were like 1950s hospital beds ..dirty mattresses..worn sheets and blankets ..dirty mouldy walls that stank of mustiness..the toilet door wouldn't shut ..the windows were soaking with condensation ..the shower was filthy..dark brown water to bath and shower in... We knew where we were going it was a cheap week in the sun. The apartments are very dated and need a good clean and up dated, we had no towels for 2 days had yo use a hand towel. The whole complex needs a good clean and a lick of paint . Love the resort and will be going... More

We were staying in the park area which seems to be the busiest as this is where the a/l bar is.All you can smell all day is dirty chip pan oil. But the pool area is clean. Our bungalow was very tired and dated and it didn't look the cleanest. The beds were so uncomfortable they had plastic protectors on... More

Adequate price for the quality. Good location, close to the airport and 15-20 walking distance to the shops and public beach. Close to the city centre. Clean rooms, little terrace, quit place. Recommended!

There is much confusion over names of hotels/apartments in Caleta with virtually everything having the same name. We were led to believe this was part of the Barcelo complex - we couldn't have been more wrong! It was dreadful. Like something out of the 1950's. Imagine a caravan park with club house selling cheap drinks and amateur entertainers and you... More

Stayed here for a week with a friend at the end of October. Arrived at midday and our room wasn't ready but we were able to leave our cases behind reception desk so wasn't too bad. When we got our keys (in the 'Park' part of the massive complex) we were given a map which was a nightmare to follow,... More

My husband and I have just returned from a weeks break from the Castillo beach. Having read the reviews it does not give a positive outlook on this complex. We had no complaints about our bungalow . We stayed in lake no 67. As far as I was concerned we got far more than what we paid for . The... More

My daughter (28) and I have just returned form Castillo Beach bungalows, Park area. I would agree with most people's comments. Our bungalow was ok for the money paid, but I would have liked a late checkout as our flight wasn't until 9pm. You could leave your luggage in the Reception Area which we did, but being able to keep... More

I have to say, after reading a few reviews on here, I was slightly worried as to what I was going to. I needn't have worried, we had an amazing time. There was myself, my friend and my 5 children, 18, 15, 11, 8 and 2 staying in bungalows next door to each other in the moon area of the... More
