At first my husband and I were a bit put off because we arrived at about 5am and everyone was asleep, reception wasnt open and no one was around to receive us or give us a key however the head lady of the house/hotel finally woke up and was very apologetic. That was pretty much the only negative part of... More

We stayed at the Castro Hotel in June 2014. We had arrived by ferry and took the local bus from the port. We saw the hotel on the bus route and got off at the North bus stop in Kamari. The hotel was only two minutes walk from this bus stop (if you wait to get off the bus in... More

We arrived late from the airport (not our fault) and the reception was open after we made some sound. It was a short non welcome and the lady put us in a very poor downstairs room. The window open to the parking area and the room was very dark and poor. Old furniture and basic the same with the bathroom.... More

We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights and were very happy. The rooms were very clean and the hotel is very well kept. This is a family run hotel and as such has a very cozy feel. Very good value for the money. It is located on the outskirts of the town, but is still close enough to the... More

The Castro Hotel has fairly basic accommodation at a reasonable price. The major plus is that it is very clean - the cleaner does an excellent job. The hotel is run by a Greek family who are more than happy to help on most matters. Some people on trip advisor have an issue with the location of the hotel, but... More

Have just come back from a week at the Castro Hotel, Santorini. The hotel itself was spotless, the family who run it are lovely and very helpful, the cleaner is also lovely. Breakfast was basic which is what you expect for european hotels but enjoyable for me. Pool area very quiet and again spotless not a hotel or Island for... More

As with a recent review, upon arrival our reception was very poor. I was expecting a friendly helpful arrival - had a key thrust at us, given a room number & directed to the second floor. We recently stayed at this hotel with family and friends. Basic rooms with balcony but as you are rarely in them do you need anything else. Our rooms were cleaned every day and were spotless. The pool area was lovely. Friendly staff who were happy to help if you needed anything.

This small family run hotel is located on the edge of Kamari, about 10 minutes walk from the beach and tavernas, 5 minutes from nearest ATM. The hotel is clean and well maintained. The owners are very friendly and helpful when asked. The bedroom was rather small for two adults. It is simply furnished but no bedside tables are provided.... More
