Overall the stay was very good. Service on arrival was great. Had dinner in the restaurant and although the food was good the service was very average. Waiter leant across to serve meals and drinks and didn't ask me to confirm the wine that we had ordered prior to serving. The breakfast food to left a bit to be desired...

Very old tired interior with mould in the bathroom and views of water tank. No drinking water in the room at all- I had to use the bathroom sink and drink tap water from an old coffee mug. But it was quiet and it had a nice pool but it is surrounded by golf courses so there is no views...

Hi Susie, thanks for letting us know about your recent stay. Whilst we can't do much about the resort's location - though many guests find the golf course outlook a positive aspect - we can certainly try to allocate you a nicer room for any future visits. We'll also follow up with our housekeeping team on the other points mentioned....

Stayed for 6 nights at the start of an Australian New Zealand Hong Kong holiday it was just what we wanted. It was just what we needed to relax and acclimatize our selves. The hotel is well situated far enough away from the gold coast but close enough to be where you want to be. Nice and relaxing, room was...

Hi msroe, thanks for your review - it's nice to hear that you enjoyed your recent stay, though we apologise if the restaurant was busy with groups when you visited. We would be happy to allocate you a ground floor room for any future stays, if this helps you avoid the stairs. Thanks again for your comments.

You don't need any signage to tell you that you are pulling into a Mercure resort. Is this a good thing, or a bad thing? I haven't worked that out as yet. This particular site was well presented and clean, with inviting rooms and welcoming vistas. The restaurant menu was quite limited and the beer ridiculously expensive. Great for families....

Hi Simon, thanks for letting us know about your recent stay. It sounds like your experience was a mixed one, which we're sorry to hear. As we're part of the AccorHotels group, many guests enjoy the consistency of service and facilities that we offer under the Mercure brand, though we always try to include some local touches that show our...

Enjoyed the relaxed feel of this resort. Had a room for 3 nights facing the golf course. The Resort is rather spread out and if one has the furthest block from reception, then may be inconvenient for some people. I used the gym facility every day. I must say that this gym is absolutely the most professional I have found...

Visited the Gold Coast in March with plans for multiple days at the Theme parks and a day at the Beach. Chose this hotel for location between parks and beach. We really loved almost everything about the resort. Everything was great except the Wifi. It sucked. Hotel limited the amount of usage. The only reason I wouldn't stay here again...

Hi 62goodyear, thanks for your review. Great to know you had an enjoyable stay. We have recently upgraded our WiFi bandwidth, though the issue you may be referring to is the cap on maximum download capacity. Please rest assured that this is something we are currently reviewing, so we hope to have some good news for you shortly!

The resort is at Carara approx 2 miles inland from Surfers paradise and Broadbeach, and so offers a quiet retreat and all the benefits of the Gold Coast without being among the frenetic noise and bustle. The rooms are spacious, well equipped and clean, and are arranged in several blocks which creates a level of individuality. Be aware that there...

We stayed here for 1 night. 2 adults 2 kids. Nice twin room with two double beds. Ports for was made up for us with nice sheets and kids duvet which was nice. Place is quite out dated but nice and comfy enough. Our balcony looked over the street so no nice view and not private. Pool and Spa is...
