We stayed in one of the downstairs units for nearly a week and found to to be an great value. The unit is small, but roomy enough for 3 and very cute. We spent a lot of time outside on the terrace enjoying the sun (or the shade, depending on our preference). Our unit was clean, and well maintained by...

We drove into Chacala without planning anything, we saw a phone number for casa monarca, called and conveniently it was available. It was worth every peso and although we only stayed for two nights, we almost found a perfect home away from home. Beautiful suite. Great service and support.

We spent a long weekend in Chacala with our toddler and another family. Casa Monarca was perfect. The property itself is lovely--especially the pool and deck, which is ideal for a pre-bedtime swim with little ones! The ground floor suites (1 bedroom), while not luxurious, were everything we needed with kitchen, cool bedroom, and lovely tile bathroom. When at Casa...

Traveled w/ one friend and my 2 sons 18 and 14 yrs. of age. Stayed in the Eclipse Suite. The size was perfect for us. 3 bedrooms/privacy for all. Spacious. 2 baths definately a plus. With the exception of the building in back of us...the view was great. The pool area was built in good taste. Though the pool water...

We spent 7 nights at Casa Monarcha (Eclipse suite) with my Wife's parents and our two small children 2 / 4 and we had a great time! The pool was perfect for the kids as the entire pool is 4.5 feet deep with a small separated part that was 2.5 feet deep. The beach was also calm enough for them...

I almost did not want to review as I do not want C.M. to be booked when we want to return. We will return and I could not imagine staying elsewhere. The Medina family is so kind and generous and we had the most memorable vacation in their beautiful apartment. The only negative part was that it was TOO short!!...

I was pretty leery of Chacala when I first arrived, but ended up falling in love with it. Casa Monarca is a wonderful oasis! We felt so at home there. The Medina family is wonderful and make you feel like family. The accommodations are comfortable and it was great being able to use the grill. We felt like we had...

We stayed at Casa Monarca for the second time this past December. Again, we had the most wonderful, relaxing four days of our trip through Mexico for the holidays. The apartments include a small kitchen and are very clean, comfortable and well appointed with beautiful Mexican tile. Casa Monarca is just steps away from the beach and Chacala's "downtown," which...

This is absolutely the best place that I've ever stayed, ever. The bungalow itself (one of two on the ground floor of the house) was beautiful, well-kept, and had all sorts of delightful amenities, including a full kitchen, a beautiful pool, and a wonderful roof with a view of the whole bay. The hosts, Kate and Luis Medina, are extremely...

“There are no pool hours, so if Casa Monarca is full and you want to be a bit away from possible pool/patio noise in the evenings, staying upstairs in the larger suite is a quieter bet.”
