In the heart of Pauillac AOC, we splurged for one night at Chateau Cordeillan Bages.
Kind service, large rooms, and proximity to the best Chateaux in Pauillac.
The nice pool and the well-equiped gym (opened for one customer at a time during COVID) were good additions to an otherwise flawless stay.
The restaurant only serves breakfast, the main restaurant is 500m away in Bages, “Cafe Lavinal”, for elaborate lunch and dinner.

We stayed two nights here in August 2021. The hotel offers the level of comfort, service and indeed price, that one expects from Relais & Chateaux hotels.
The only drawback with that is that bedrooms are a bit too "standardised" for my taste, and you do not get the feeling that you are staying in a chateau. And more the feeling of staying in just another modern luxury hotel
Covid has meant that their restaurant is closed and you have to walk to their "Cafe" in the village, a walk of about 500 metres. This not taxing, but as days get colder, the walk will be less pleasant
The reception staff were very good at arranging 3 tastings for us - certainly to vineyards that I would have found difficult to get to myself.
We enjoyed the buffet beakfast. However the staff levels/training was not sufficient, so I had to wander off and find staff to get to order coffee.
Overall a good experience, in a good hotel, in the very centre of French wines

A week in the Medoc, and we could not have stayed at a nicer place. Although (sadly) the Michelin-starred restaurant is closed (a covid casualty), everything else was great. Loved my room with a small interior patio, perfect for coffee and working outdoors. Room service was very prompt, whether coffee in the morning or an afternoon apertif.
Staff could not have been more helpful. They made restaurant suggestions before we arrived. They knew which chateau tours we had booked in advance and when, and then assisted in filling out the schedule. And then they arranged our pre-departure covid testing a short drive away. Everything was flawless.

Hotel is in a wonderful setting, with an excellent staff. Rooms are extremely comfortable. Breakfast is outstanding. Exercise room and pool are also great. Only downside is they have no service to transport people to nearby Pauillac. We hired a driver for our transportation to/from Bordeaux and for our wine tours, and there was no car/van available via the hotel to go to the nearby town. No taxi and no Uber! Only restaurant for dinner is a 10-15 minute walk, Cafe Lavinal, where food was below average and noise level extremely high. Charcuterie place across street from Cafe Lavinal was outstanding and where we bought food to take back to room.

We spent three memorable days at Chateau Cordeillan-Bages. The hotel has a very good atmosphere, comfortable luxury bedrooms and outstanding personnel providing good quality services. Close to the hotel, there is the Bistro Café Lavinal, part of Cordeillan-Bages group where we end up dinning twice, such was its quality.

Quiet yet accommodating of our family with 5-year old son. Cyrielle and the staff set up chateau visits and wine tastings as well as dinner reservations for us each night. Breakfast was excellent and the pool and fitness facility were well-kept. The grounds are beautiful!

We had a fantastic stay at the Chateau for three nights. The chateau is very modern inside and the rooms and public spaces are at a high standard. The staff were excellent; very friendly and always looking to see how they could help our stay. Great food in the local restaurant which is linked to the Chateau and an amazing tour of their winery also.

We stayed at Cordeillan Bages using it as a base for visits to Chateaux for tastings. Thsi is an excellent quality hotel with welcoming and friendly staff. They managed the varying demands of our group without question. Rooms were very comfortable and spacious. Outsatnding buffet breakfast with option of dining on terrace beside vineyard. Meals were taken at Cafe Lavinal. I enjoyed an outsanding menu de jour for a lunch and for two dinners the a la carte offered excellenet choice. Meals had a regional feel and were well presented and tasty. Good pool and a small gym is available.I would recommend this as an excellenet base fore activities in the Pauillac/Left Bank region and will return myself.

My second trip to this hotel and it delivered just as much as the first trip. The staff are absolutely delightful. The hotel and bedrooms are extremely comfortable. Wi-Fi is a little slow but apart from that it really can't be faulted. A perfect base if you're exploring one of the finest wine regions in the world and the café Lavinal, where they recommend you dine for dinner is sublime. Can't wait to go back again

We stayed with friends - two couples - for four nights in June.
The staff, location, service and separate restaurant (in the village) are all excellent.
We had a few minor niggles such as shortage of power outlets in rooms (this seems to be a thing all over France) making it difficult to charge multiple items.
The staff are outstanding and the breakfast, though at the expensive end of the scale - is excellent.
We would go back!

Leur chef est récemment parti, donc ils ont perdu leurs deux étoiles. Ils s'attendent à les récupérer tous les deux. J'ai mangé récemment et c'était un standard deux étoiles. Je ne sais pas s'ils avaient vraiment 2 étoiles plus tôt, je suppose qu'ils l'ont fait. Peut-être vérifier le guide 2016 ou 2015.
Their chef recently left so they lost their two stars. they expect to get them both back. I ate their recently and it was a two star standard. I don't know if they really did have 2 stars earlier, I presume they did. maybe check 2016 or 2015 guide.
