This was our second hotel in our two week holiday to the Philippines. We came to this island to dive and were recommended this hotel. The hotel itself is in a prime location and rooms were large and nice. The aircon in our room didn't have a remote ! The toilet didn't flush properly and the shower was a trickle... More

It probably has the largest swimming pool in malapascua. Overall, the room is alright and comfy with tv. Breakfast is also good with unlimited coffee and porridge. The only con is the towel which look worn. Also, the aircon is quite noisy at night/

We stayed a couple of nights in Legend which is in the better end of Bounty Beach. There is more sand here as opposed to the other end where Blue Corral is where the beach is more dirty and there is coral sand. But the beach is not really super good for swimming, you can go a few meters out... More

It took me almost 2 months to plan where exactly we would stay in Malapascua Island. I've sent some inquiries through emails regarding other resorts, then I have sent one to Malapascua legend and the reply was quick. Thanks to Rainer who assisted me from all the bookings and reservations of the rooms then the boat pick up. We stayed... More

Was my second time to stay in Legends in Malapascua. Unfortunately the first time experience was better compared to this time. Stayed in a super deluxe room and the room is quite big. Too bad there were so many Mosquitos sharing the room with us. Shower didn't work properly. Aircon was working but is rather noisy. TV/cable channel didn't work... More

We stayed there overnight and stayed at the native room. The rooms smells as if its not touched for centuries. We asked for air freshener waited for hours and we are just informed that they don't have air freshener. The air-con on the native room is not working well..

The hotel is situated in front of the beach itself. It has its own pool where you can swim after enjoying the beach. The rooms are big and good enough for 4 to 5. The restaurant inside the hotel is just okay. We looked around the area and I can say that the hotel is one of the best in... More

This beach hotel is pretty OK for the island. We went there for diving, so did not need too much of comfort. The rooms are large, they have aircon and are reasonably clean. The showers are OK, but the water is a little bit salty. The hotel has it's own swimming pool which looked appreciated by other guests (I did... More

We spent 4 nights at this hotel. The room was large and had A/C (a bit noisy) and a good sized bathroom with hot water. The room was fairly clean with some old stains on the bed sheets. We were provided with fresh towels every day. The hotel has a good sized pool and is located right on the beach.... More

In comparison to other resorts on the island this one is nice and is has it's own pool. Rooms are average but with spacious showers. Can be loud with local animals and randomly with people driving up on their mopeds and diving into the pool in the middle of the night?! Staff are friendly but we had problems with our... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Malapascua Island is situated two and a half hours away by car and four hours away by bus from the city of Cebu. A barangay of the town of Daanbantayan, Malapascua Island takes pride in its world class diving spots and pristine white sand beaches. It is widely referred by locals as the "Boracay of Cebu." As a diving destination, Malapascua Island has become known for its beautiful coral gardens and excellent local dive spots, as well as further out sites like Gato Island, Monad Shoal, and Kemod Shoal. Monad Shoal is an underwater plateau where thresher sharks and manta rays can be seen on a regular basis. The town's name is derived from two Spanish words, "mal" and "pascua", which translated in English means, "bad" and "Easter" or bad Christmas. According to locals, the Spaniards named the island that way after they arrived there on a stormy Christmas. Malapascua Island is a promise of a great dive and a relaxing beach experience, making it a popular travel destination for local and foreign tourists alike. ... more   less
