We stayed a night on route to Tarifa and booked a Suite ' this was a 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom with lounge and terrace - actually like a small apartment. The room was fantastic, beautifully equipped, spacious and comfortable beds.
No complaints at all , fantatsic restaurant underneath for dinner Midas . The breakfast was very nice and also on a terrace with nice views. Definitely will return.

Stayed there 4 nights in June and initially was not impressed with photos, but needed hotel in the area. Was pleasantly surprised, was given a room over looking marina, the room is spacious, breakfast terrace has lovely views. There is a free parking next to hotel and also plenty of restaurants. Very nice service, the only thing missing maybe small vanity set like shower cap etc since its a 4 star hotel.

Stunning hotel in and amazing location.

A must for any soccer fans. Messi's owns this hotel and it has one of his many Ballon d'Ors on display in the lobby.

I only stayed here for 1 night and all was good. However, I want to alert travellers who are thinking of visiting Sotogrande and anyone who is thinking of moving here. My father is a golfer as am I: the golf courses are all wonderful, especially Valderama and Real Club Sotogrande. However, that is IT! Sotogrande is nothing at all how you might expect if you believed all the reports by the realtors and publications that go on and on about how elite and special the place is. They continuously refer to both Sotogrande in the hills and at the port as being tranquil - it is anything BUT tranquil! I have stayed here 5 times, more recently in August and then again in October when my father was competing in a golf tournament. If I could have found a way to review the entire area of Sotogrande, I would have so this is not a direct reflection of MIM hotel. The place just gets worse and worse. Sotogrande is loud, very loud. Children everywhere shouting and behaving badly, everyone seems to own at least 3 dogs - many of them dangerous dogs and off leashes. They roam the beaches were they are supposed to be illegal but no one ever does anything about it. The place seems to have a law of its own. It is supposed to have 24 hour security which really means 1 car drives around every now and then. I have never seen a security officer on foot. All the privately owned swimming pools are full of noisy, screaming children with inflatables. When I stayed here once with my friends in their house, I had to move out due to no sleep. In the summer there are many live concerts and live music shows that start at midnight and go on until 6 in the morning. The worst noise of all is the constant very loud roar of machinery that is generated by the Sotogrande gardeners that use heavy machinery and this is actually constant all day, every day, it never lets up. There is nothing to do in Sotogrande but eat and drink. Don't believe the publications and realtors who rave about all the leisure pursuits - it's not at all true! There's virtually no shops, nothing to do at all. I feel very sorry for my friends who own two properties there and cannot sell them. The noise is making their life unbearable and they say living here is hell as they cannot escape, there is no where to go and nothing to do. They can't even take their children on a walk, there's no sidewalks, just gutters or the road to walk in. The place has been built only for cars! It's fine if you like a noisy place for a few days but otherwise choose anywhere else.

We stayed here for 1 night after spending a few days in Medina Sidonia, a stunning white town about an hour's drive away.

First things first - the hotel. Absolutely stunning. Beautiful decor in the public areas and in a good location right on the marina. Staff were great. As for our room - wow. We booked a suite as we were travelling with our baby daughter but it was more like an apartment. There was a marble central living area, two big bedrooms with bathrooms, a stunning terrace with table and chairs and sofa - all for 120 euros. No doubt the price was partly because we were in October but I think this was possibly the best value luxury hotel we have ever stayed in.

Some people have called Sotogrande classy. I suppose if your idea of class is an utterly soulless, sprawling development of purpose built apartments, a shopping village which seemed to have only about 5% occupancy, estate agencies desperately trying to sell unwanted villas and the odd champagne bar then Sotogrande is your kind of place. Otherwise best kept I think to a 1 night maximum even if the Club Maritimo is a wonderful hotel.

My husband and I stayed here for two nights just last weekend and we cannot fault it in anyway.
We got a fantastic deal of £100 per night through Booking.com including breakfast so great value for money for such a lovely hotel.
The hotel is beautifully done, not massive so almost has a 'boutique' feel and look about it. It has a gorgeous atrium and the décor and colour scheme is really lovely.
We were extremely pleased when we walked into our room, we booked a standard double and it was huge! It had a large entrance area with sink and mirror, separate shower cubicle and toilet. We had a lovely 'lounge' area with a large table and sofa, a TV that swiveled so you can watch it on the sofa or in bed! The bed was huge and one of the most comfortable hotel beds and pillow I have ever slept on, the husband agreed too! The hotel is very peaceful too so you will get a good nights sleep! There was a bath behind the bed right by the window so you can choose to soak in the bath whilst gazing out at the boats and sea! (FYI the windows are mirrored so no one can see in!!)
Breakfast was a buffet, with cereal, fresh juice, Nespresso coffee machines, bacon, eggs, beans and fresh pastries, bread etc etc, great choice.
You can sit on the terrace for breakfast which overlooks the marina, absolutely lovely!
There is a separate restaurant underneath the hotel, which serves fantastic pizzas! There is also a Tapas restaurant.
The staff were very polite, helpful and welcoming.
We have friends who live in Soto Grande and when we can't stay with them we will MOST definitely stay at Club Maritimo, loved it!

I stayed here on business. The place was well run and efficient. The hotel itself is well maintained and looks lovely. The rooms were big, furnishings were really good... most importantly the shower and bed were excellent. The view from my room was beautiful. We had food and drinks downstairs at the bar one night, I had the leg of lamb which was sublime and original. Just a shame i was only here for one night.

Went to watch the last European Golf tour event in europe at Valderrama in October 2011. Hotel was first class. Rooms spacious ad in great condition although the layout with the WC and shower effectively in the entrance to the room was slightly strange. Excellent buffet breakfast but we only discovered on the 3rd day that we could also order eggs and bacon which was brought to our table by the very efficient staff.
However the best experience was the assistance from the check in staff who not only helped us organise our onwards trip to Morocco but also retrieved my wive's house keys which she managed to leave in the safe and they were waiting for us when we got home 10 days later.
