Caroline is such a warm and welcoming host and keeps her home spotlessly clean. A beautiful home with tasteful decor, a comfy bed and peaceful surroundings. We chose the bbq dinner for our evening meal, of which, the meat and produce is all sourced locally. Just wonderful!! Breakfast was a hearty affair which included continental and a full English, with...

After cycling from Oturehua, we were in the mood for some relaxation. We were not anticipating the luxury and great food and exceptional service at Maniatoto Lodge. It's less than 5 minutes from the Otago Rail Trail, set on the edge of town with lovely late afternoon sun looking west. The bedrooms are beautiful, with lovely linen, and very comfortable...

We thought this was the best accommodation we had on the Otago Central Rail trail. We were made very welcome by Caroline with wine and cheese in front of an open fire. Caroline is the lovely new owner. The building is beautiful, the rooms very generous and beautifully appointed and we even had a fire going in our room. Breakfast...

Two nights in rooms and beds to die for after the days cycling. Along with cooked breakfasts, endless tea coffee and snacks, lifts into town.... AMAZING hosts. Add in Gary's willingness to drive us backwards and forwards from Hyde, service above and beyond any expectations. We cannot speak highly enough of the Lodge and our wonderful hosts, an unforgettable part...

Thank you to Gary and Chris for making our time at your lodge so welcoming. From the great room, to the home baked carrot cake and "here are the keys to drive to the pub" it was a pleasure to spend time with you. We were walking the trail and a spa at the end of the day was just...

We literally fell into the Maniototo Lodge on March 1 after cycling 60 km, uphill and against the prevailing winds, from Middlemarch to the location of the B&B in Ranfurly, New Zealand. Chris's first act of hospitality was the lemon cupcakes and tea served upon our arrival. Gary generously offered to drive one of our party back to Middlemarch to...

Thanks so much for your great hospitality! We were just starting our bike trip after the Taieri Gorge Railway trip and a transfer from Pukerangi on a hot summer day. How awesome to be greeted with a truly wonderful carrot cake, tea, and a tour of this cool little place! Got great recommendations for dinner and Gary graciously allowed us...

We stayed in this beautifully restored former catholic presbytery almost next door to where my mother was raised. So it was quite nostalgic. Gary and Chris were extremely warm and welcoming hosts. Loved the carrot cake, tasteful and comfortable rooms and breakfast spread. Will recommend and hopefully return one day.

Great hosts and a great place to pull up to after a day on the bike. Gary and Chris thanks for your hospitality, loved that cooked breakfast and the history tour. The front room was just right and felt like we were stepping back in time.
