No apologies for such a long review but I wanted to give a detailed picture. The quick version is it was great and we had a wonderful time. The hotel is an adult only establishment. Due to a delayed flight we didn't get to the hotel until 11:30pm but the transfer by coach was efficient with only a couple of...

For some years we have tried to get in to this hotel and it was well worth the wait. What was the Riu Calypso is now the Sensimar Calypso operated by Riu Hotels! What's that all about? No Riu Club Member points awarded, unfortunately! Room 817, sea view room was fantastic, except room safe was only available for 20 euros...

Just returned from a fabulously hot week at the Calypso, loved it all and sad to leave. The staff were all great but the waiters and bar staff get a special mention, they were really jolly and friendly and they knew from day one exactly what our drink orders were. Admittedly we were outnumbered by Germans but it really didn't...

The hotel is in heart of Morro Jable in the south of the island and approx 1 hr 45 mins transfer time by coach from the airport. However, don't let this put you off as it is it to stay here. Forget Corralejo and Caleta de Fuste where most tourists go. This small resort is also just 20 mins walk...

This was our first 4 weeks in an hotel but the size of the superior room and terrace was ideal such that we wished we could stay longer. Our room was lower down so we only had a few stairs to climb, which was ideal. Close to the sunlounge and swimming pool was most useful. Only a few steps further...

Really lovely, clean, airy. Big beautiful room. Very nice staff. Can't fault it apart from being predominantly catering for germans. I have no issue with German people but feel they should help English as we come with thomson who the hotel gets paid by. The Germans have a small printed news sheet every day, some things are written in German...

After a long and tiring journey and a transfer that took well over 2 hours. We were shown a delightful room then discovered it was overlooking a road. Not What you'd expect for a 220 pound supplement for the view. Fortunately Roberto could sense our disappointment and tiredness and showed us to a much nicer room, overlooking the beach. A...

Stayed in room 504 from December 17th to 24th in this amazing hotel. Already planned to go back for my 50th birthday next December. It had all the best bits of every hotel we've stayed in. Amazing in every way. From hotel reception on arrival to restaurant staff. Everyone in hotel was so charming and friendly and went out of...

One of the few hotels we have stayed in where you want to come straight back. Staff were always friendly and helpful. The food was plentiful and hot. Yes, you did have to queue and wait on some occasions but this was because the fish or meat was being freshly cooked before your eyes. The room had everything you needed,...
