My partner and I stayed in this lovely hotel several nights. We initially were only going to stay in Gracias for a day as we passed through. After checking in we found the hotel, its owner, and the employees to be so accomodating, and helpful that we decided to stay for two additional nights. The restaurant, rooms, gardens, and setting...

Can't wait to get back to Gracias and visit Guancascos. The garden, the restaurant, the view--everything here is exactly what I look for in a small hotel. When in Gracias, make sure you head over to La Campa to do the zipline there. What an adrenaline rush... Would also like to say thanks to all of the staff there for...

This charming hotel has it all. It is right near the center of town, yet is on a hillside so it overlooks the city and has great vistas. The mountains that surround the hotel just add to the spectacular view that almost every room has as well as the terrace of the restaurant. The nicest thing about the hotel is...

The lush foliage and sustainable practices attracted me to this hotel, but the warm and homey service by English speaking hosts make me want to come back. Hotel Guancascos is my hotel of choice in Gracias, Lempira; truly a home away from home. Guancascos is rustic yet modern; basic yet elegant, and definitely eclectic. Picture this: the room is clean...

This fine little hotel is within walking distance to the bus station and its balconies provide a panorama of the beautiful little town. The rooms are nice appointed with nice sized private bathrooms. Ah, there was a hammock outside the room, on my porch for napping and relaxing. The grounds are beautifully maintained - so lush and tropical. I was...

We traveled to Gracias to climb Cerro Las Minas and were fortunate enough to have chosen Guancascos as our base. It's well-located in relation to the bus station, the fort and the village of Gracias. Whilst our room was basic it was comfortable and clean and had everything we needed, including wi-fi, safe drinking water readily available and hammocks beside...

We (couple, 40 & 50 years old) stayed at Hotel Guancasco two nights in November 2013. Our room was spacious, clean and nicely decorated. The private bathroom was large. There was a hammock outside the room and the grounds are beautifully maintained. The wonderful open air restaurant has a wonderful view of Gracias. The manager/owner was helpful and friendly. We...

I stayed one week in Guancascos, Gracias and had a wonderful time. The staff is friendly and helpful. The hotel serves delicious food and free wifi is available in the restaurant with a beautiful view of the town. The rooms are a bit small and dark, but clean and each has a hammock outside where you can relax or you...

We had a great stay at Guancascos. It is a nice hotel with clean rooms and beautiful grounds. The restaurant served a delicious dinner and breakfast. Free wifi and english speaking staff are available. If you cannot manage stairs, I would not recommend this hotel. It has secure parking for those that bring their own car. The view from their...
