Stayed in one of the tourist flats - 2 adults, 2 teenagers. Great view of the surrounding hills. Pool was just below the flat. Beautiful setting. Had everything we needed. Great host, Gloria. Friendly and helpful. Recommend the RSA for a great home cooked meal at a reasonable price.

A beautifully quiet campsite situated on the outskirts of Waihi. Reasonably priced with all amenities available to campers of all types. Located not far from the town centre with a wide range of shops.

We camped here after biking the Hauraki Rail trail through Karagahake gorge (highly recommended). We stayed by the swimming hole (a rather ambitious title, I'm afraid, as the water was not at all something most people would dip a toe into) and had the whole area to ourselves. As we were self sufficient we didn't use the kitchen, but it...

This is a very pretty camp but the pitches are quite small! The location is good and there is a lovely stream just at the bottom of the camp. The facilities are very good but the light in the toilet is on a motion sensor and doesn't stay on for very long! !

Great stay in Waihi the people there are so lovely was great. Was a great place to see the new year in. We will definitely be back, it's close to town, only 10-15mins from Waihi beach. They have a well equipped kitchenette for cooking you meals :) Also can have power on your site :)

The receptionist was not particularly welcoming and we seemed to have woken her from her nap. We stayed in a basic lodge cabin, it just about fitted a double bed in. The curtains smelled of damp and charity shop and the room itself wasn't well kept at all. The light in the men's toilets didn't work and the women's showers...

The staff are welcoming & enjoy a good laugh! We stayed here shortly while on our tour in NZ with a Jucy Camper Van. Amenities were very clean and easy. Washer, showers, clean bathroom, plug ins, and cute sheep & horses in view. Definitely can't wait to stay here again for a longer stay!!

I can see from reviews that some people have really enjoyed it here. We were in a tourist flat. Check in took over an hour as at first they weren't there and then they couldn't see our booking etc. some mix up. The flat was okay but with incredibly creaky floors so I heard every time the kids rolled over...

It is a very basic small camp inside the town of Waihi. We liked its simplicity, having animals around the place was fun, the river nearby. The space is very green and feels in the middle of the country, really nice. It has all the basic needs, the only complaint is that it is a bit run down, particularly the...
