I took Two rooms, they were on the ground floor as you enter into the Guest House Rooms 4 & 5. When we got down from the car, there was only this small entrance. BUT as you entered in, it opened out into this lovely open courtyard to one side and rooms on the other. The rooms were spacious and...

Its a beautiful guest house...one lane after promenade! The Promenade is a minutes walk....this is one of the best locations one can find. The rooms are TRULY HERITAGE...are very well maintained. The owner is a wonderful french lady and lives in a palatial bungalow next door. The villa (Dumas Guest house) has a few rooms which are on rent...one can...

A quaint guest house that is a stone's throw away from the Promenade. A wonderful throwback to the French era in Pondicherry, with old-school furniture in the rooms. Friendly staff was a joy to deal with. Only downside I'd say is the limited breakfast choice. But, enough about it to make it a go-to place when in Pondicherry.

I stayed in this beautiful guesthouse for 2 nights. I was given a nice clean and spacious room with a balcony. Peaceful terrace is really enjoyable. Well managed by a french family. Amazing stay overall!!

This property is located a stone throw away from the promenade beach and highly accessible to near by restaurants. Well maintained 200 yr old mansion with spacious rooms. This is a good place for family with very spacious rooms. It's a bliss to spend time here. The hosts are friendly and cool

Delightful big old mansion from owner's grandparents' days. Charming owner-hosts and equally inviting lush gardens, quirky but spacious rooms. Fabulous location. Only downside the very uninspired breakfast.

We were a family and well received. French, English or Tamil, we could easily understand each other. Felt comfortable from the very first moments. Beautiful trees and plants, terraces. Property quite maintained. Calm and peaceful in middle of white town

We stayed at Dumas in Pondicherry and had a very nice experience. Bala and Jacki the owners are very friendly and helpful. The rooms are comfortable and large and the property itself is full of greenery. The Dumas is on Rue Dumas which is on the road adjacent to the Promenade so it is extremely convenient and close to all...

This guest house has some lovely features - rooms set amid a delightful garden, some quaint furniture in the rooms, little terraces or patios to relax in, excellent wifi, extremely helpful owner, well located, generous breakfast.. But our twin beds pushed together were short and uncomfortable, and the breakfast room left a bit to be desired. Chipmunks run all over...
