The hotel is great for school trips. We took 87 students and 9 staff on a music trip without experiencing any significant problems. The hotel's staff members are helpful and friendly. The hotel itself is clean and the rooms are comfortable. Although we didn't use the pools, they looked inviting. The rooms overlooking the outdoor pool are the quieter ones...

Really nice hotel and lovely rooms with two double beds. At first I was really pleased we had a room overlooking the pool and not the train tracks. But that was a mistake. The trains don't run at night and start up at 7am. But the parties of school kids sit by the pool shouting, screaming and smoking til 5am....

Hotel is 3 minutes from a really lovely, safe beach and two minutes walk from Calafell Railway station. Good points: Clean, friendly, very few Brits,,no rowdy guests. Staff are helpful and pleasant. Few speak much English ( which we liked as my daughters are learning Spanish) Frequented by considerate Spanish families, from 0-80 years Beds very comfortable Good sized pool...

We took 60 students here at the end of May. The hotel was fairly empty excited for 2 other school groups. The food was good and catered for all our students- including gluten free food, nut allergy, veggie and vegan food. The packed lunches were very basic but did the trick. Students loved having time in and by the pool;...

65 kids and teachers. Hotel ideal for our group. Staff helpful. Pool ideal. Short walk to beach and into town. Self catering breakfast and dinner with excellent choice of food for even the most fussy of our teenage group. Some issues with the loudness of the Spanish guests lasting into the night.

Enjoyed a great weekend with the Riverside Rockabilly and car show at this hotel. Due to the entertainment and participants the hotel was full and coped very well. The bar and dining areas were adequate and kept clean throughout. The rooms were large and balconies overlooking the pool area were suitable for a quiet rest. Good outside pool and small...

After being let down by Hotel Antigua although booked months ahead we were taken by friends after 11pm to look for another hotel in August which was a nightmare. Luckily this hotel had a room and we really struck lucky. A very comfortable room overlooking pool extremely clean and the staff excellent especially the bar staff. We stayed three nights...

Every year I take a large group of young student to this hotel. I have found the facilities and the service to be first class. The hotel has always offered us a warm greeting and have catered for all the needs of our group. The cuisine is genuine Spanish and the menu is large enough to offer choices to everybody.

Myself and my husband (early 30's) stayed at the Canada Palace for three nights to attend a friends wedding at a nearby hotel, it was a last minute booking and I think the last remaining room available in the whole of Calafell. We paid top price due to it being peak season, around £320 in the end including breakfast. The...

My 12 year old daughter and I booked a room for a few days during August at the Hotel Canada Palace. We couldn't keep from gaping at everything! The sixties faux palatial lobby, the grand staircase, the fabulous art collection, even the charming front desk kid (the owners grandson) was right out of a Wes Anderson film. The room was...
