Nice staff, really clean and a great kitchen. Pretty central as well. Really enjoyed the garden, nice place to eat your dinner or have a beer. The two dogs are a bit annoying but I guess you'd like them if you're a dog person.

This hostel is fabulous! If you want to slow down your pace a bit this is a great spot to lounge in the beautiful garden and then use a home base to take an amazing waterfall tour, see coffee plantation, see myan ruins and get to the pretty town of Ataco. Great kitchen for preparing your food and Darren the... More

It's rare to come across a hostel that makes you feel like you are at your own home. Casa Mazete did this and more and that is testament to Darren and his team at the hostel. The location and amenities are right up there with the best we have had on our trip through Central America but the staff topped... More

We loved our stay in beautiful, homely casa Mazeta. A gorgeous hostel with a big kitchen, amazing living room to watch movies and a lovely garden. Hot water, clean bathrooms, lovely pets and great staff to help you with anything you want. Really recommend.

Amazing hostel- super homey and has everything you would want in a hostel, the trips to the waterfall they arrange with Carlos are great, they have a hang out area with all the movies as well as a great garden and the staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. One of my top 5 hostels of all time, can definitely see... More

I spent the night at Casa Mazeta as I was passing through the Ruta de las Flores. I had a room in the back of the garden. It was very quiet and comfortable. Everyone was very friendly and made me feel welcome when I arrived.

I concur with other reviewers about this wonderful hostel/guesthouse. I stayed in a private room with bathroom. The wifi currently doesn't quite reach the farthest room. The garden and common area are so nice and comfortable, it was really no problem. The best part is that Casa Mazeta provides a place to recharge after visiting all the neat places such... More
