My husband, my 15 year old son and I stayed in this hotel for 5 nights at the end of July. The first two days the place was deserted and we wondered how they stayed in business, but as soon as August started and the schools broke up/and workers clocked off, it soon filled up. As far as I could...

The building is amazing, the hotel is huge, perfect to whom wants to learn how to play golf. All rooms are quiet, especially because the hotel is located in the middle of a forest. Perfect for relaxing, with a very nice swimming pool. The breakfast is very good.

While the rooms are in need of upgrading, the service was exceptionally efficient and nice. We had some issues with our car, which they promptly resolved by bringing in their own mechanic who fixed the problem and didn't even want a tip. The personnel at the reception were courteous and delightful, warm and extremely helpful. If the rooms get a...

I stayed here with a group. While the grounds and chateau itself were lovely, the harried staff had trouble keeping things organized. The supposed wi-fi was either sporadic or non-existent. No one seemed to know why this was the case. The bellman doubled as a bartender, the desk clerk had to run off to "stir the eggs," well, you get...

A pretty chateau hotel located in an ideal stop-off point if you are travelling down to the western/central Loire Valley area around Angers/Saumur/Chinon/Tours/Amboise and your schedule makes the thought of the last 60 minutes driving into the above cities/towns unappealing - particularly if you fancy a round of golf to boot. This is exactly what my party were intending and...

A lovely hotel, in a lovely setting, surrounded by parkland and what looked like a very nice Golf Course. The rooms were a little scruffy, but had everything you need, including a well stocked mini bar, The views from the rooms were great overlooking the golf course and very quiet. All the staff were welcoming and very helpful. The restaurant...

The view of the castle is impressive. We chose the hotel in spite of the negative reviews because the castle's website seduced us completely. Our logic was 'it cannot be THAT bad'. But it was, not terrible, just bad. First the room: medium sized, overlooking the golf course (nice!) but we were however distracted from its view by the badly...

The perfect setting of the Chateau and its excellent golf course is not done justice by the bedrooms in the Chateau. Thje views from the rooms are great across the golf course but they are not four star quality. The double beds are small, the decor is tired with paint chipping of the woodwork doors and skirting boards and the...

We stayed here 4 nights. It was a nice quiet location, with its own golf course, which made for good views from the restaurant and bar. The staff were young, friendly and made every effort to be helpful. They recommended another great restaurant in the area and made the reservations. The in-house restaurant served good rich french food and the...

“As far as I know, there is no air conditioning except on the main floor at reception. No screens in any of the windows means bugs, bugs, bugs! Book a room when the weather is cooler and you do not have to rely on leaving the window open all night.”

“It would appear that Groupon bookers don't have much of a say in their choice of room. We travelled with Brittany Ferries and had a very good room. Might be worth a phone call beforehand to ask about the room standard as they seem to vary considerably according to the reviews. From what I could tell of the exterior, all rooms would have a view.”
