We got to the motel after a very wet drive drive from Christchurch, the accommodation we first saw appeared fairly interesting and modern but we were sent to "The Cottage" which looked very much like a post second world war prefab and we weren't disappointed when we went inside, very "retro" and dated and the hot water cylinder was certainly...

We were a family of 4 & stayed at the cottage which is the 2 bedroom suite. There is construction happening right next to the cottage and the roads to the office were closed when we attempted to locate the motel. I agree with the earlier reviews that while it's next to the sea, there is no view whatsoever of...

The room was quite spacious with a king and single bed, dining table, two couch chairs and a kitchenette. Once the wifi was reset, it worked well. Bed was comfortable. Punakaiki is a very small town with only a tavern and cafe. We stayed here after a long drive from Blenheim to the west coast. This motel was a good...

Near beach as well as rocks . The accommodation was a very spacious cottage with a garden round it and a line to hang our washing on. Unfortunately it had been neglected with ill fitting doors and a shower and separate toilet which needed updating to ensure safety .Convenient for access to pub. and the lovely pancake restaurant which we...

Its next to the sea but the view is blocked by an embankment and there seemed to be some construction activity in the vicinity. There is no beach. Rooms were a bit run down but spacious. There were a few spiders and other insects in the room. The lady at the reception seem very flustered as she checked us in....

Spent one night on this beautiful coastline on way to catch train in Greymouth. The accommodation was spacious and comfortable and wifi was reliable. Only minor issue were cooking smells which remained despite all windows being open. We walked to a nearby tavern for dinner in the evening which was very enjoyable. There's lots to visit around this area and...

The motels were easy to find off Mabel St. The owner was very welcoming and friendly, she gave some good advice about what time to visit Pancake Rocks. Our family unit was pretty spacious, beds were big and the place was neat and clean on arrival. Kitchen was a little dated but perfectly functional for our needs. There was dedicated...

A lovely two bedroom cottage at a good price with an awesome view from my room! Roger gave us a fab welcome with tips what to see, walks etc. Cottage around 100 metres from the sea, and added bonus a short walk from the tavern with good beer and meals. The whole area is beautiful, so glad we found this,...

The motel is adjacent to the Tasman Sea and the sunrise and sunsets are great. There is a glow worm cave within walking distance of the motel. The room was nice and comfortable, but the shower was a little tricky to use. There is no air conditioning and no window screens. This is sand fly country, so bring lots of...
