My husband and I stayed at the The Rocks in December 2016, right before Christmas. The hosts, Peter and Theresa were welcoming and gave great suggestions about hikes, walks, and other activities in the Punakaiki area. We had a view of the ocean and were blessed with a gorgeous sunset in the evening. The hosts were especially nice about accomodating...

In February 2016 we stood 2 nights in this amazing place with lovable Teresa and Peter, memories we never wouldn't do without them. Stunning views, wild scenery and spectacular coast. Rocks homestay is an interesting place the hosts fill in with art and memories of traveling. Teresa prepared breakfast with the best bread we ate during our six week trip...

We had the sea room, a generously sized room with its own library/conservatory to sit in. The breakfast was the best we had in New Zealand with a great choice and delicious eggs from their own chickens. Theresa and Peter were welcoming and delightful hosts. In short, a great experience in a very special place.

Had one night stay in the sea room to break a long drive and wished we had stayed longer. The room with large ensuite and its own sun room exceeded our expectations (the web site photos don't do it justice ). Air conditioning was great. The breakfast was the best we have ever had from a B&B and better than...

The bedroom wast adequate for our needs. It is true that there was no TV but we came to see the country not watch TV! Our hosts in Theresa and Peter could not have been more helpful and the breakfast had to be seen to be believed! The house is tucked away and is surrounded by local vegetation , but...

I really enjoyed my stay at The Rocks Homestay, from the warm welcome from Teresa when I arrived fairly late at night (after a rather epic 9 hour meander through Arthur's Pass) to Peter very kindly dropping me at the car park near a rainforest track in order to save me from having to walk back along the main road...

This time we have just reached the Christchurch airport and we are renting our car on the airport. After a drive a 300km we are reaching this BnB and we get a welcome from a lady who is the owner of this house and we feel at home. At Night she offered a glass of hot milk which was a...

We enjoyed staying at the Rocks with the exception of the biting bugs. There are no screens on the doors or windows and that makes for a stuffy room as there on Air Conditioning. Wine was served in the evening and the couple that run this establishment are delightful. We had a fantastic trip and this location was all a...

The views are absolutely stunning. The rooms are clean and comfortable. They can't do enough to make you comfortable. Very knowledgeable of the area, hikes etc. Dinner in the area is just mediocre! You'll have to drive for good food.
