Didn't expect the room to be quite so dated/basic. The bed was old and falling apart. Springs in the mattress pushing through. Not the best in my book. The decor is definitely in need of an update...we thought we were getting a last minute deal on a room at a lower price but when we arrived it was the same... More

We were returning from a weeks family holiday in Cornwall and saw a sign for The Kings Arms Inn just two miles off the motorway. When we arrived we were greeted by a nice young girl to our table. The cutlery was dirty so we changed ours with the table nearby. We ordered drinks my daughter and I both ordered... More

Incredibly friendly and helpful staff! Very comfortable bed and room and good hearty breakfast in the morning. Tom the landlord was really good to us and was more than helpful at every opportunity. Good shower and lovely pub and very good value

One night stay on 8 July on our way to Newquay. After a long drive from the midlands we needed a comfortable room and decent food. What we just did not need was the worlds biggest "Richard The Third" bobbing around in the loo to greet us. Compĺained to Andy (who I took to be the manager as he was... More

We stayed at the King Arms Inn for one night only last night - thank goodness it was for only one night! Please note that this Review is based on our stay which was in Room 6 - booked through Expedia - whether or not this was the reason we had this room we cannot say. The Good! - A... More

The ploughman board is too dry, the nachos have lots of tortillas with some fake cheese and processed industrial dips. The rest was ok but nothing to write home about. Good parking space and clean toilets though.

I recently visited from Kent and after a 4+ hour drive was given a warm welcome by all staff, in particular Andy; who made us feel right at home. The rooms were excellent considering the low cost of £35 per person. I enjoyed a decent roast and was even given a few free credits on the jukebox. Would highly recommend!... More

We stopped at The Kings Arms on the way to our holiday cottage and enjoyed a very pleasant lunch. My husband ordered the Chip Shop Medley and I had the beef lasagne which was cooked well and served with garlic bread. Staff were attentive and the meal was reasonably priced.

Arrived very wet and bedraggled after walking a 7 mile section of our Land's End to John o'Groats charity walk in bad weather. We had a lovely welcome from manager Andy who ushered us over to the log fire he had just lit. We decided against camping and asked about a b&b for the night. He showed us the rooms... More

My room was a little quirky and tried in part but ultimately great value. The restaurant was excellent with a constantly changing specials menu. Great variety and good honest pub grub. I travel a lot with work and this place ranks up the top for value and service...just don't expect the Ritz!
